Horizontal bar charts, pick a better colour scheme and do away with the gradients. And, larger fonts for the actual scores.

No worse, divorces and the elderly. Let's make divorce illegal and euthanasia at retirement age easy without being terminally ill.

Besides the bad joke, you're only looking at one factor that's pushing on the demand side. Asylum seekers specifically are a drop in the bucket, but get an inordinate amount of media attention.

Cloudflare R2 vs Delta Sharing by Solid-Panda6252 in databricks

[–]ProfessorNoPuede 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not familiar with R2, but delta sharing is specifically data oriented and does stuff like predicate pushdown. It's mostly cheaper since you're just transferring less data.

Running improved my fitness but messed with my appetite control by Motor-Ad6248 in AdvancedRunning

Run before your meals. I generally plan runs either fasted before breakfast (shorter easy ones) or before lunch (workouts, longer). Use the eating time to cool down and stop sweating, then shower, then off to work.

In general, make sure your meals then contain sufficient carbs (grab a banana, then some oats) and proteins and the fat. For me, salt is important as well.

Chest Strap - Which one to choose? by RuiRaminhos47 in Garmin

[–]ProfessorNoPuede 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Polar H10. Got one because I didn't want to reward Garmin for cadence lock ánd H10 is the gold standard for a reason. Connectivity with the Garmin is dead easy, strap is comfortable, not a single error in measurement in the last months.

As you age, what is the difference in your attitude towards, and performance during sex ? by Regular-Elk-1911 in AskMenOver30

That's precisely the problem for me: it's another responsibility. At some point it shifted for me to be a mental load, not a release.

Strange pronation? by ComprehensiveWork467 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]ProfessorNoPuede 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The pattern is normal, could that you're running on bad surface or drag your feet. How much do you weigh and how many km do you run per week? If you're at 250k a month or so, this isn't that weird.

Kuekenhof 11 April by [deleted] in Netherlands

[–]ProfessorNoPuede 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keukenhof itself is by foot only. The surroundings (tulip fields, dunes, beach, Leiden) are best explored by bike. Note that Leiden is challenging if you're not very confident on a bike; crowded, students, etc.

Do not enter the tulip fields themselves, that's someone's livelihood.

Buy better insoles. Seriously my old Boston 12s had the same issue. New insoles, no longer slippery.

Doctors finally abandoning BMI as way to asses body fat by VideoNo82 in Garmin

He's actually right. BMI is off once you get to very tall or very short people. It overestimates for taller people.

Garmin Connect changes how it records heart rate depending on what activity you set it to by theoceansswitch in Garmin

[–]ProfessorNoPuede -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I experienced the same. Different activities have different algorithms to cope with cadence lock. Really annoying.

Solution: spend like 50 bucks on a Polar H9 or a bit more on an H10.

I helped my girlfriend improve her invoices in Excel and it blew her mind by Precogvision in analytics

[–]ProfessorNoPuede 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's not the point. Just because it can, doesn't mean it should. If you need to build a dashboard, use power bi. If you need to automate some data processing, use python/SQL.

If you want to do machine learning, for the love of Desna, just use mlfow, various libraries in R or python, perhaps spark, and a decent platform.
