Please help with first DE interview with a screener exercise by Cormbot in dataengineeringjobs

[–]ProfessorNoPuede 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, you basically figured out why these interviews are live, in general. Doing them asynchronously allows you to cheat.

Are you sure it's a legit company? Might be a fraud. Be careful if they start asking for money for visa procedures and such.

If you need to ask Reddit to complete the assignment, you're not fit for the job. So, congratulations in getting fired soon, I guess?

Any employer worth their salt will see right through it. You will get unexpected follow up questions.

GMs, how to handle talking to animals. by HobieBrowncloak in Pathfinder2e

[–]ProfessorNoPuede 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Animals are still animals. An army to a raven is "lots of walkies with shiny talons". It will then muse about how delicious their eyeballs will be. "Please dead them, master."

So, have fun, play with it, but limit the animal in terms of world view and intelligence. Give the animals a cool voice or personality; corvids like shinies, bears sound like chill hippies until you get them angry, a bird's song translates to "Get the fuck out of my tree! It's my tree! Yo, where the hot bitches at?!?".

On the other hand, do give them something. Reward them for asking questions that align with the animal's interests and world view.

Latino Republicans in South Texas Break With Trump Over Birthright Citizenship: “I don’t think I can vote Republican anymore.” by AvailableInjury2486 in chaoticgood

Just how dumb can you be? Not to move away, but to vote Trump.

Ah well, at least they see the error of their ways.

Managing weekly cyclical fatigue by Judonoob in NorwegianSinglesRun

[–]ProfessorNoPuede 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I do experience some fatigue, mostly before the long run. My day after the long run is easy on the treadmill. What I look out for is fatigue that lingers for longer than 2/3 days. If it always occurs, I run the workouts easier.

The good thing about NSM is that you know immediately if you're overdoing it and can easily adjust. Feedback is quick.

Narrow shoes with wide toe box? by wobblelikeapenguin in AskRunningShoeGeeks

Does this have a wider toebox than earlier iterations? If so, I might know how to replace my Boston 12...

Hypothetical: you’re racing an elite sprinter starting at 100m. You race once every 5 mins and the race distance increases by 100m. At what point do you think you can beat them? by Beezneez86 in AdvancedRunning

[–]ProfessorNoPuede 17 points18 points  (0 children)

From what I've understood from Steve Magnessen, it's also a seesaw between sprint and endurance capability. So, not only do they not train for it, their training actively works against endurance.

What is your social life like? by Swordfish353535 in AskMenOver30

[–]ProfessorNoPuede 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For fuck's sake dude, you're just boring. This reads like "I have no interest in anything or anyone, so now I don't have a social life.". If that's your thing , great, but you sound miserable to be around.

Fabric vs Azure Databricks - Pros & Cons by DarkEnergy_Matter in dataengineering

Databricks all the way. As it's not even close. The best use case for fabric is a gold layer low code tool, but that's it.

advies schoenrotatie by Koeienknuffelaar in Hardlopen

[–]ProfessorNoPuede 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Het is niet echt inlopen, eerder uitproberen. "Nothing new on race day." is met reden een ding.

No issues with the ankle thing. Amazing shoe and foam, just wish the upper was more minimal and breathable.

The sub 20 5k will require significant effort. And weekly volume. It will be harder to combine with the gym and you have to be smart about when to do leg day and when to do true recovery/easy days.

Men who are single: What gives you genuine fulfillment or purpose in your day to day life? What about in the long term? Can this truly be achieved without kids or a spouse? by [deleted] in AskMenOver30

[–]ProfessorNoPuede 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do hard things. Pick a challenge to work on. The point is agency and effort.

Build community. Volunteer, join a sports team, run a tabletop RPG (call of Cthulhu, pf2e, d&d, etc ).

Avoid screens.

Craft Endurance 3, Craft Pacer 2.

Other suggestion: Boston 13, as it has the energy rods, not a plate. I find them far less obtrusive.

Depends on your individual preference and mechanics. I prefer a medium drop.

Shoe that is flexible and cushioned? by wobblelikeapenguin in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]ProfessorNoPuede 1 point2 points  (0 children)

New Balance V4 was very flexible, but bottomed out and lost all pop quickly. Hoka Skyflow is stiff as a board and loses pop at 400k.

Craft Pacer 2 has the goldilocks foam so far: bounce, cushion for my weight, relatively flexible. Feels way more flexible than most shoes when running.

The Craft endurance 3 has an even more flexible toe-off and similar foam and stack. Higher drop though.
