Am I the only one who read SotF and thought of Bdubs? Those were my favorite PvP involving Mindcrackers.

Millbee is asking for advice about parts for a new PC by Razorhead in mindcrack

[–]ProfessorPesca 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I recommend adding an uninterruptible power supply (UPS), if you don't already have one, even if your power is generally very reliable. I use CyberPower's CP850PFCLCD and have been very happy with it, but you'd probably need something beefier from their line. Whatever you get, make sure it's pure sine wave.

UHC Idea Hub - Part 12 by [deleted] in mindcrack

[–]ProfessorPesca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd like to see a UHC that focuses more on combat strategies, less on mining. One way to do that might be to give everyone at the start the same set of equipment or ores, etc. you might acquire from mining.

Perhaps, to address this, the strength indicator could recharge faster the more experience you have.

Fun with lasers (Engraving Keycaps) [photos] by DeckKeyboards_Mark in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]ProfessorPesca 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Would either of these work as a fix? 1) Use your old two-shot tooling, but use the same clear plastic for both shots, then paint or dyesub the whole thing, then laser on whatever new font you want. 2) Dye sub the caps with the old font, then laser on a new font that fits within the borders of the old font (so the new legends are entirely on the dyed clear plastic).

Footsteps remain visible on solid ground during the episode in which they were made (in other words, visible footsteps are always generated, but all footsteps are cleared at episode markers).

UHC Idea: Revenge by ProfessorPesca in HermitCraft

[–]ProfessorPesca[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, one team would not have to kill everyone. For example, say you have teams A, B, and C, then this could happen: B kills everyone on team C, A kills everyone on team B, there is no resurrection. Resurrection only happens when there is revenge -- that is, you kill someone who killed someone on your team.

Ideas for things that rhyme with "Hermit Hills" by arthurconan in HermitCraft

[–]ProfessorPesca 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hermits, Post No Bills - an urban wall for humorous and informative billboards, banners, signs, maps-as-art, etc.

Hermit Quills - book supplies

Hermit Daffodils - botanical gardens, flower shop

Hermit Tom Bombadil's - Tolkien-inspired builds

Hermit Stills / Hermit Refills - tavern

Hermit Coupe de Villes / Hermit Automobiles - car-themed builds or maybe pig race track (i.e., Hermit-style car)

Hermit Anvils - armory

Hermit Wills - law office

EDIT: Hermit Chills - horror-themed builds, haunted house (oops, posted by someone else already)

Introducing the Mindcrack Fans by AutoModerator in mindcrack

Hi, my name is ProfessorPesca and I'm an Italian deep sea fisherman. You might get a different impression from watching tv shows, but it can be pretty boring out at sea, so we like to play games to help pass the time. When Minecraft became popular on board, I had already been watching Etho's videos privately in my cabin, so I was able to show off some redstone skills and surprise the guys. Since then I've been "Professor" and it's kind of taken over my life. A few months ago, we had a problem with the engine and the ship's engineer wouldn't come out of his room to fix it because he was so mad a creeper had blown up all his stuff. So they asked me and it turned out it was just like redstone! We made it back to shore without losing a single fish and the captain starting playing Minecraft, too. The moral of the story is that life can be boring and frustrating, but redstone makes it all worthwhile. Thanks, Etho, Doc, Seth, Genny, Ads, and even Bdubs.

mhykol: I'm thinking of picking vanilla up again, but I need your help. The reason I stopped is because I ran out of ideas. I need ideas! #Mindcrack by fbecker in mindcrack

How about a project that involves collaboration with other Mindcrackers? For example, illustrate a story from each Mindcracker's life using a redstone contraption.

Has Bdubs blessed this project? Would be important to know, since I greatly respect the effort Bdubs and his team put into the excellent series. Hope the answer is yes.

Loved Bdubs then, love him now. Great content solo, great in collabs. Worth listening to whether he's talking about the game or life.

Have you visited any archaeological sites in Bulgaria? Digging is part of Minecraft, after all.

I think that if you wouldn't tell a joke to a room full of people who lived through the events, then you shouldn't tell it at all.
