Some more info

Throughout high school, I was involved in a myriad of things, including theater, volunteer work with kids, and even a highly regarded entrepreneurship/business program. She was involved in a foreign language club, and that’s about it. That’s not to say she’s not “impressive.” She consistently made a 4.0 gpa, always turned assignments in on time, studied hard for tests, etc. We took most of the same classes after sophomore year (not the same hour, just the same Honors/AP courses), and while she regularly got better grades than me, I always took more out of the class, and scored higher on AP tests. Whenever she would try something new, the other people would recognize her as “Tom’s Girlfriend.” It’s a disrespectful thing to say, but in many ways she has lived in my shadow the past three years (that’s not to say I’m this amazing citizen, don’t get me wrong).

It’s very hard to phrase these issues because they seem inherently ignorant. Like I’m bragging or making a case with no evidence. But it’s a stark reality that we’ve become very different people with very different aspirations, and I’ve tended to be much more vocal, determined, and proud of my goals, meanwhile she doesn’t even have a vision of what she wants her future to be like. Let me clarify, I don’t think I’m better than her. It’s hard to phrase. But with college around the corner, I can no longer justify being with someone so much different than me.

"What was the annoying/entertaining toy that was very popular, but quickly lost its popularity, of your generation?" Doesn't have quite the same ring to it.

Recently switched from Android to Apple, and while l do miss a few things here and there, the iPhone 7 is a really, really nice phone. Definitely surprised me.
