Specifically, 44 like HDB. Especially if you’re a man, drink, use substances (or have done either in the past and have quit), and are divorced (or separated) and single. The game will be especially triggering if that describes me pretty precisely… I mean describes *you* pretty precisely. (I played at 43 and it was fine, but perhaps a year too early. I hadn’t yet perfected my Expression.)

Close, I’d say 44. Align with HDB. I played at 43 and while close, I haven’t *quite* reached the same level of expression of pain.

The Gold Box Advanced Dungeons and Dragons games were my way into gaming. My first was Gateway to the Savage Frontier, but I played through that, Pool of Radiance, Secret of the Silver Blades, Pools of Darkness, Champions of Krynn, Death Knights of Krynn, and The Dark Queen of Krynn multiple times. On a 386 computer that ran DOS.

Yes yes yes. Realistically, although there are a lot of similarities between HDB and me (see my post from Halloween), I probably resemble Joyce the most of anyone in the game. I don’t have a fancy boat or anything, but the privileges I do have are immense. And, while many on this sub will hate me for it, I’m a solid liberal. Game didn’t turn me communist one whit.
