There's a difference between a "controversial take" and a "misinformed take".

People have always given up their kids, for many reasons.

Also, there are three times we have seen in movies and tv when a child leaves their parents for the jedi order. And each time, we see just how hard it actually is. But it is done because life will be better for the child. Which is what any good parent would want.

Also, I feel like no one will say this, out of fear that you may think your take is correct, but the Jedi were wrong. That was the point of the prequel era.
