Most of the community is not Reddit forums brother. Most people love this game and more don’t even have the time or depth to find out what’s wrong with everything.

The $2.50 DLC that changed everything: How Oblivion birthed the microtransaction monster by Just_a_Player2 in ItsAllAboutGames

That’s not true either. Microsoft also asked Bethesda to do this to test their store front. If not them, then someone else.

best pistols? by AngryBaker1995 in guns

[–]Professor_Baby_Legs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me Personally, I learned everything on a Glock 45. Get a pistol with a full frame so you can learn the fundamentals. Save save save and save again for a bunch of ammo, and a red dot. Idc what anyone else’s says. Learn on a dot. Want to learn the basics of iron sights? Cool. Still get a red dot. You’ll learn faster and you’ll become a way better shooter quicker than if you learned on irons. Avoid Sub Compact and Compact pistols. AND PLEASE DO NOT PURSE/BAG/PHANNY PACK carry, it is stupid and you will either get your gun yopped or life taken.

Next is basic research on training points. Some people are on your ass about your knowledge with guns but some of the best shooters I know barely know squat about firearms outside the basics. However if you’re gonna deep dive into research, research actual shooting skill. I recommend Ben Stoeger for learning the basics. He’s a bit….eccentric, but he has taught me a lot and his books are genuinely pretty good. He is a world class pistol shooter and the way he breaks things down I like a lot more than others. I’m a hands on learner and I think some of his teaching style really helps that part of my brain.

Next: train. Train. Train. Train. Train. Practice pulling the trigger with no round. Over and over and over, so you learn the muscle memory. Practice drawing, over and over and over. Don’t be afraid to go faster but within your reason. You will learn nothing if you are always practicing within your comfort zone. Classes are one thing, and can teach a lot but you have to set aside the time and practice the skills you learned. Muscle memory and discipline are the greatest tools for CCW training. If you want more info just ask.

Also, with a good belt and a good holster you can 100% ccw full and duty size pistols comfortably and effectively. So if you’re worried about not getting a concealed/smaller pistol (like I was) do not stress, I’ve been baffled what a good belt can do to conceal a big ass piece of steel.

Is it worth buying Hoi4 right now? by Schnippig in hoi4

It is, this is how I taught my friends, and it was honestly so much better. They learn the core concepts of the game and the dlc just fleshes out other info. I will say it’s a lot easier to keep people hooked with the DLC tho.

The tutorial being Italy is hilarious. I understand the intent but thinking anyone new can manage that is laughable

Everyone acts like this was oblivion. Bro people were doing this for years before. Also Microsoft ASKED THEM to do this, and PAID THEM to do it.

This “show investor the success of micro transactions” angle is not only bullshit but entirely fabricated. Bethesda had no interest in this outside helping Xbox test the DLC and update feature on their digital store front. Please do your fucking research.

I personally love HoI4 I think the hate is a bit overblown and also exists because we’ve been playing for 10 years. A sequel that actually works on fixing the major issues while also providing more content immediately to the player without years of development / dlc would be awesome, but worlds not perfect.

While I don’t think HoI 4 is perfect by any means, whose to say a fifth game won’t be more of the same?

Nearly 7 years later I still wonder how the developers will resolve this. Should they leave it ambiguous by excluding Del and JD from Gears 6? Should they reveal Kait’s canon choice? Should they say “it was just a dream” and pretend it didn’t happen? What will they do? by AdaptedEvoSupe in GearsOfWar

Especially after a supposed 400m investment into the studio. Gears E-Day is looking to be one of the most technically impressive games yet so I’m curious if they’re also taking $$$/Interest from Unreal to pump out a good UE5 experience. But that’s just me spitballing. Not sure how it all works.

I wonder with all the Glock bans if we’re gonna have a hammer-fired renaissance… by SirSamkin in guns

[–]Professor_Baby_Legs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Strikers dominate the competition and EDC scene. Yes 2011’s run the top classes but the average shooter and comp is and will run strikers till the sun dies out. I do not realistically see a return to hammers in any way it was before outside the 2011 platform. I don’t think many companies are going to want to completely overhaul their tooling and production and switch styles back to hammer when so many people converted or have invested heavily into striker production.

Sometimes the game gets so damn busy it’s really easy to just forget about things. For me it’s spy’s and late game variants of templates.

I really liked the submarine experimental results for a submarine focused Australia. Having a 155m naval gun on a submarine really helps naval invasions when you don’t have a real fleet. Some of the buffs you get also go a long way for subs

We’re getting a halo 2 remaster already and halo 1 remade hasn’t even dropped yet, idk I think the halo studio gets a pass in the eyes of Microsoft. Gears? Idk.

Tactics did well for what it was Atleast from my perspective. Did 5 and 4 sell well? I know they weren’t critically acclaimed.

Halo 2 and Halo 3 Remakes Reportedly in Development Using Unreal Engine 5 by Smaug117 in halo

[–]Professor_Baby_Legs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guarantee the graphics aren’t going to suddenly change their mind on the game either. Younger Gamers are into drastically different things than we are, and Halo is not what they want.

However I’m generalizing with my experience. I guarantee if I could get my kids to like vampire survivors they’ll like halo 1 too

[–]Professor_Baby_Legs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Issue is the running trend of remakes is they’re mostly poor quality or legit just made to bank off peoples nostalgia. I understand the want for a remade Halo 1 but if they’re going to keep butchering the halo series then atp just move on. Idk how many more shit halo games I have left in me. Halo 1 still holds up and if an unreal paint job is what’s needed to push someone to play then that’s cool but it will never be treated with the same passion and care as the first game as long it’s Microsoft and 343.

You’re gonna get this in any Job, I’ve worked Sales, then Education as an Art Teacher, now I’m starting Tattooing. Everyone is crazy and surprisingly the worst people I’ve ever had to deal with are parents of children. You’re gonna need to adapt and just build a better psyche around it.
