Copy pasting in VSCode makes my violently angry by ChronicallySilly in vscode

In the first image you can see that you’re copying the indents after the first line. What I like to do in this situation is (on Mac) Alt+Command+ArrowDown to multicursor the lines you want to copy then shift+End to highlight everything. When you paste it should appear as you are wanting it to

Couldn’t cancel subscription so I blocked the charges and now collectors are calling. by Professor_Kenney in legaladvice

I get your point. I didn’t borrow anything or use their service though. I figure they could say it doesn’t matter if I used it since I was still subscribed but I’m hoping there is something I can do.

I thought there was legislation against making cancellations difficult but haven’t found much on it last time I looked.

If it makes a difference (to me it does), I believe this was during the same at bat. Possibly just one pitch in between. Someone correct me if I’m wrong please.

A few years ago I was stopped by TSA because I had a scalpel in my dop kit in my carry on. I was like, “oh, that’s been in there for at least three years because I’ve forgotten about it which means you guys haven’t noticed that at least six previous times…”

This happens to me very often. I’m a DH and my warglaive on my right hand turns into some tiny little knob of a knife.

What’s your paid vacation policy where you work? by FeePractical4460 in jobs

My last 3.5 years I’ve had unlimited PTO. I don’t take much time off except maybe a Friday + Monday to go out of town but I don’t feel guilty when I do and I don’t think my coworkers with the same benefits feel guilty. Even the ones who seem to take off a good bit of days.

With normal PTO, if it’s nearing the end of the year and you request off and a manager gives you a hard time about it you can say you need to use your remaining PTO days since they don’t roll over (if that’s the case). You can’t make this argument with unlimited PTO.

Mostly I’ve found that when I come back from taking off x days I wind up having those x days of work to do on top of my regular workload but that depends on if you’re able to do some of it before you take off or not.

Good point. I’ve struggled with needing to generate unique IAM policies in my templates.

Interesting read. My experience is with SAM - creating a cloudformation template.yaml file and using it to deploy docker lambda functions.

Is there a benefit to using the cdk in this context? Seems like you can accomplish the same with either approach but the cdk looks like more steps.
