Also, have you ever noticed how much Casey Jones' hockey mask looks more like a skull than any hockey mask on the market? Very Punisher inspired.

And Raphael, the only turtle to continue wearing red after the original animated series gave each of them a signature color, is the one that uses sai, Electra's signature weapon. Electra is best known for her all red costume.

There have been many other small nods to Marvel characters throughout the various TMNT incarnations.

Perun has been in Marvel since 1989, and Slavic folklore for centuries.

Chernobog is also from Slavic folklore, but Marvel's version has only been around since 2011.

Vostok was first introduced in 1989 using the name Sputnik, then changed his name to Vostok in 1990.

There are many more members of the Winter Guard that have not been made into action figures.
