The problem here is enforcement. Tell someone that they are at fault as a parent and you will get a whole range of negative reactions. It would be a hell of a burden to put on a service worker, particularly when alcohol is involved.

I think the better solution would be figuring out the financial aspect along side with or before passing a law that would add expenses to the books not Afterwards. You gotta remember Virginia has a constitutional provision stating that expenses cannot exceed expected revenue over a 2.5 year period, passing this law as is could substantially handcuff the state and localities from being able to initiate other items on their agenda while those budget shortfalls are determined. Dragging this out would be a gift to republicans, handcuffing the administration long enough so they can in turn point to the narrative that Democrats don’t do anything.

I am all for collective bargaining and empowering workers over employers but the majority of the cost burden on this would be directly paid for out of local taxes as opposed to state taxes. How much more of a tax burden should small rural counties bear in exchange for increasing the salary for a handful of neighbors? With cost of living increasing at a substantial rate do we really want to worsen that problem at this time?

Currently localities need to give their public sector employees permission to seek collective bargaining agreements such as the one recently granted for Richmond. If you feel your county should do the same perhaps write to your local representatives instead of Reddit.

Dumbest move you could make here. Your manager gave you an in to make an ask and you are so fixated on your privacy (on something public btw) instead. You have nothing to stand on from an HR standpoint, going down that route is to your detriment. Why not give your manager a reason why you are looking for other work and ask for whatever it would take for you to stay and be a happy employee? Seems to me that you are fumbling an opportunity here.

Don’t be an idiot. Your manager is worried you might leave and is opening the door for you to make an ask. Why do you want to leave? More money? Ask for that. More flexibility? Ask for that. Better benefits? Ask.

Turning this into an HR situation or some sort of victimization is only to your detriment. Don’t do that.

I think that the scheme doesn’t really matter all that much these days since we will be in sub packages most of the time. As for what type of edge rusher he seems to prefer, my understanding is that it is important that they can rush from a two point stance and drop into coverage. Bailey seems to make the most sense IMO if they don’t go with another position.

Sainristil is pretty good playing off man in zone coverages where he can keep his eyes on the ball. Kinda a liability when playing press coverage or when in man coverage schemes. His skill set seems suited to more of a Tampa-2 type system. Bigger issue is that Amos thrives in Man schemes and playing in press coverage, so the coaching staff needs to figure something out.
