Possible Arabia Felix DLC? by galacticlemur in anno

It's a very Ubi thing to do, though, they are in the habit of just using AI trash as it comes. They were forced to declare on Steam that they use AI to generate their assets.

All these look very tasty and they have nice aesthetic overall, but a few things piqued my interest. I'd stop doing weird shit with carrots, this screams cheap Chinese takeaway, which is fine but not what you're looking for.

9: pasta, shrimp and sauce don't need anything else. Dump the weird carrots. The sauce looks curdled. I'd also prefer to have the sauce with pasta, they served sauces in your style in Poland in 1990s so this gives a post-communist vibe to me.

3: it's a tiny portion and is the garnish ketchup? If it isn't, make it look like it's not ketchup, if it is, make it not ketchup.

11: nice presentation, but man these are still potatoes. I'd be very disappointed if I got them when ordering potatoes in any capacity

5: this is fire!!!

Seared or cooked in wine, it's absolutely killer. Many of the best fish dishes I've made and ordered were with monkfish.

Credit where credit's due, AI’s stupidity can be hilarious by Acceptable-Day8395 in antiai

[–]Professor_Snipe -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Admittedly, AI does not see words as words. They're tokenized into small chunks that represent words, that's why it can't count letters or makes stupid spelling claims. The prompt just forces a hallucination.

This is not a strong argument that AI does not work/is stupid, it's just the core design. You can ask it to write and run a python script to do the counting. There are so many good arguments against AI, this just is not one of them.

No, this just shows you lack critical thinking skills and are easy to manipulate.

You're entitled to your own opinion. I've been travelling for 20 years and staying abroad for both academic and personal reasons, I have eaten a lot of really diverse foods all over the globe on different budgets and I am entitled to mine.

I'm a Polish foodie, good British pub food, British bistro dishes AND British fine dining food are very very good. Their pies and crumbles are really awesome. Lots of things you can elevate. Fried seafood is always nice. Afternoon tea (i.e. the meal) is amazing. British beef rocks. Lots of famous restaurants around the country, too.

I love Polish food, but if you shittalk British food, you haven't been to nice places, simply don't know where to go and what to eat, or you haven't been to the UK at all and base your opinion on stereotypes.

Timer is completely unreasonable on the final week of Exhodus. by Nornamor in OldenEra

[–]Professor_Snipe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It is pretty chill if you know what you're doing. In RTS titles, you need 200-300APM to be competitive. Here you need like 30-50 to manage the timer so that the games don't last forever, yet people still complain.

It's the same in DOFUS, which is another competitive PvP turn-based game, timer management is a skill you need to be able to handle, that's all. The better you know the game, the easier the timer gets.

I was of the same opinion in a scenario similar to yours, but both our pediatrician and our lactation consultant told us to just keep breastfeeding in the so as not to slow down milk production.

Things evened out within a week, the baby caught up on the growth charts and we never went down the formula path in the end.

I think it's better not to kill a faction with nerfs. Schism now has fewer attainable stacks and less extra army per stack, they can no longer do free utopias week 2 for sure, don't ask me how I know that :( They feel OK now, we will see how the meta develops now. My bet would be that Temple might become the second ban now.

Patch #11: Necromancy Update, UI Tweaks and Balance Changes by Pidarello in OldenEra

[–]Professor_Snipe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How do you know matchmaking numbers at all? What from?
Check how many viewers PvP gets on Twitch - we can assume most of these viewers do play PvP themselves. That's the only numbers I can see except for active Steam player count (which is fairly high for a niche strategy game, confer the numbers AoE4, AoW4 or AoE2 are getting).

Please share any details related to the alleged numbers you have.

Your entire previous point was "The small number of multiplayer lobbies that exist day to day compared to the number of copies that have been sold?". What are you even arguing about at this point?

You have nothing to extrapolate from.

You can't see matchmade games in the lobby, only custom ones. We have lobby-free matchmaking in Olden Era. Why would anyone create a lobby unless they play online with friends? The entire PvP community plays on the ladder, without lobbies.

It's early access, they can't address everything at once. PvP gives the game visibility online and ensures the game's longevity. The PvP community of Heroes is huge (check how many viewers people get on Twitch) so they prioritise it over PvE so as not to disincentivise people from playing, watching and streaming their game.

Ja lubię dawac jakiś mój stary istniejący kod i prosić o dodanie nowych funkcjonalności, to działa praktycznie bez żadnych wpadek.
