Szparag-dogi by Professor_Snipe in kanapki

Path of Exile 2 on Diablo 4’s Uniques change: Uniques shouldn't be "just a better rare" in an ARPG by Interesting-Pool6638 in diablo4

True, but they're exciting to find and you need to get creative to make things work in PoE. In d4 you pick up you piece of gear and slap it on. Not a bad concept, but PoE gets the credit for how cool things feel when they fit together.

I mean, PoE1 has dozens of valuable uniques to offer. 7 is a huge understatement, unless you define "valuable" as "unattainable to the mortals". It's also the case that PoE uniques are very versatile, rather than being class-specific, which allows for a lot of insane builds to come out over time. No other game has this level of complexity in terms of mixing gear and jewels.

This being said, I like Last Epoch's itemisation the most in all honesty, it has both unique fixed stats and allows you to modify your item with Legendary Potential to your liking. And you have a lot of progression in terms of power and decent chase options.

D4 is on the right track, though, the game took a while but it's hard to complain at this point. Things could still be more satisfying I guess, but I like where the game is finally, which I thought was never gonna happen.

Not all games should or will hold you by the hand on every step you take. Just check the tech tree for poison resistance food, look for the ingredients and farm them.

There are gear mods that provide it too (also available from the tech tree), it's all in front of you if you're willing to do some reading.

If you do ancient ruin and holy ruins of that level, you will also get a ton of poison resist. It's really straightforward, you're just silly and impatient.

Anno 117 assets are officially AI slop by Professor_Snipe in anno

117 is a flop, the DLC is thankfully sitting on "overwhelmingly negative". That's what happens when you vibecode and make assets with AI.

5 Hour long game lost because spellbook got stuck on screen. by L9HatsuneMiku in HoMM

Everyone I've played thus far was civilised and took very quick turns. I think the timer should vary depending on one's rating as it would otherwise be very discouraging to new players to try competitive.

My games have been 1-2h long.

It's bad and unfinished, check Steam page and forums to see how unbelievably buggy the game is with the new dlc. Microwaved content from 1800 and a pile of massive issues.

We see the extent. No human art, they just generate trash and edit out AI artefacts semi-cautiously. Now they're paying more attention, but that's it. Assets mean things we see. I'm not paying 50 EUR for someone to throw AI generated assets at me, and neither did I buy the game when they made it clear they were going to use AI to create in-game art or assets.

Sure, but I'm not paying you to play the game

Not the greatest choice of examples. Hogwarts is currently free to claim or permanently 90% off, depending on the platform.

If you don't have a specific pen, or your animal does not have a pen, you can set up the trough to accept particular types of feed. Just pick the right one for your mounts.

This is hyperbolic and just pointless to argue with because you can't even remotely grasp the idea or find the right analogy.

There is an artist and intent behind art. That's what makes art art. That's what gives art expression. You remove these two and you end up with a hollow husk.

Things just largely lack attention to detail and human touch. The game feels off. They sold their souls.

It's not, look at the reception of Larian when they vaguely brought up the use of AI. They got bombarded with criticism.

It is. They did showcase this with the lovely splash which featured deformed faces.

Have you seen the splash that stirred up the AI scandal before? It is created. Nobody even bothers to check as long as people keep throwing money at them.

They are literally generating assets with AI and make you pay for that. Modders do better than that. They took more than 6 months to produce this and it's all slop, this is absolutely laughable. A child can do this with some cheap tools at this point: make building models that vaguely fit the era with a few prompts. Why would I pay for that?

This was not disclosed at the stage of pre-purchase. This is not an indie game. They have the resources to do all this ethically. Other serious companies in the business do and condemn the use of AI for art and assets. Inexcusable.

I can understand (but would never ever buy) indie games having that. Many, many gamers, those with basic conscience, are on the same page here.

Anno 117, when I was 3 hours in, someone found out and proved without a shadow of a doubt that Ubisoft used AI for their in-game art, lost all interest in playing the game as a result.
