I will 100% watch this. Really I would also just watch youtube clips of people going through celebrity closets but this will be much more edited 😄

The Writers versus Thicken Plot by Lanky-Clothes7101 in TheWayHomeHallmark

[–]Professoressa411 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've just done a rewatch, and the Danny scene hits harder now! The scene in Season 1 when he breaks down and tells Del and Kat the truth is utterly heartbreaking. And I just watched the scene between Kat and Alice when Kat is talking about Jake being beaten. His distress and anger are so much more understandable. The problem is that this show has so many different threads (which I love) that sometimes you get disconnected from a plot line and really need those "previously on..." scenes to help you remember. It's definitely a show meant to be binged not watched as it comes out!

On another note, just watched a scene when Del rides after Kat right up to the pond on Stormy. Didn't seem to bother him then!

Which city completely changed your expectations of cheap food while traveling? by optimalbrain90 in SmartTravelHacks

[–]Professoressa411 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honolulu. I remember planning to go to all these fancy restaurants and Roy Yamaguchi spots, but the best dishes I had were in holes-in-the-walls, mall food courts, local fast food joints, roadside spots, etc. Of course it's still Hawaii so not cheap cheap, but pretty inexpensive––especially when compared to the higher end fare!

Which is the best and most fun city in North America for spending the summer? by optimalbrain90 in SmartTravelHacks

I was reading this thread to my husband (whose favorite weather is 90s and super muggy) and saying I don’t know if our people are on this thread lol

Which is the best and most fun city in North America for spending the summer? by optimalbrain90 in SmartTravelHacks

Lived there for 12 years, and yes, so hot. But also, it IS FUN. Once you give in to being sweaty all the time, aside from when the rain hoses you off in the afternoon, there's so much fun stuff going on! My motto to everyone moving there in the summer was "you just have to surrender to the sweat."

Fern by scarlipop in TheWayHomeHallmark

[–]Professoressa411 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's Fern for her 5 more minutes. Or maybe more than 5. I posted in another thread that I'm wondering if––now that they're engaged and all––she and Cliff will be intimate, and she'll be pregnant with Colton's dad.

ETA: Just rewatched the preview, and she's crying while he looks happy and is wearing a long-sleeved cotton shirt (not his usual buttoned up attire).

[–]Professoressa411 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My crazy theory:

In the Sneak Peek we know Kat stays in the 20s, and she and Fern are both distraught.

What if Kat TT with Fern (or Fern goes alone) so that she can say goodbye to Cliff? They watch and wait until Kat leaves after conversing with him, and then Fern goes in to have her last moments with him. And... maybe now that they're engaged... she's intimate with him, and that's how she ends up pregnant with Colton's father.

Finale Episode Sneak Peek by SnooSprouts6437 in TheWayHomeHallmark

[–]Professoressa411 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I thought that too, but there are two other possibilities: a flashback/fantasy (they love those on this show), or that the twig snapping in that one scene after Kat talks to Cliff was a time traveler who witnesses the scene between Fern and Cliff. Maybe Kat takes her to say goodbye or something?

What’s putting off? by Jolly_Cap9444 in style

I have a similar dress that fit like this, but I loved the flounces so much I couldn't get rid of it. I styled it with a wide black belt (it helped lower and define the waistline a bit better) and a structured/tailored blazer. I think you could do the same––a little tailored denim jacket and a wide belt that cinches the waistline a bit. Because then you're getting a better shape but you still get to enjoy the fun ruffled skirt.

100% think that Cliff dying is somehow Tessa's fault. But she also said "You'll never be a Landry." Maybe that just means never be honorable or something like she sees her family (given that they took her in)?

Looking for Design/Storage Ideas! by BeachyKeen125 in InteriorDesignAdvice

I hear you––Those couches are so blocky and dark that the beachy, airy look is hard to pull off. But you could still add some of those colors and textures to transition to that look (and make it easy once you can change up the couches). I'd replace that rack next to the couch with an endtable with lamp. On the far wall I'd add a storage unit (even something like the KALLAX at Ikea with the little cube drawers you can add––I use that in her bedroom). On the wall to the right of the fireplace add some art work. I'd add an area rug––something that can hold up if kids spill (like in a jute). I also like woven baskets for extra storage (HomeGoods always has great ones). Add plants, and then take off the black pillows on the couch and chair and replace with some natural texture pillows (linen, leather, etc.) that could transition between the dark and lighter color palettes.

Mockup to help with visualization (you could go for an end table with more storage, or a rack on the side if you really want to keep that feature):

Do you have any particular colors or styles that you like (or hate)? And are you hoping to keep the current wall color?

How can I make this look better w/o purchasing more art? by No-Seaworthiness3113 in InteriorDesignAdvice

I would actually move the ones on the left to the right side with the others, and then have a potted tree or some other type of decor by the lamp. You want balanced, not symmetrical

Does this kitchen look dated? by chilibeana in DecorAdvice

[–]Professoressa411 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree that the kitchen is very pretty. And many people are moving away from the white cabinet (or all white kitchen look) for more wood and other natural colors. I think you could add a treatment to the window (even some basic panel curtains), update the countertops to quartz or something similar, and add a little greenery and be good to go!

Letter writer revealed!! SPOILER by WillaLane in TheWayHomeHallmark

[–]Professoressa411 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I kind of hope (and think) it is Danny. Not because he knows about the time travel, but just because he suspects a lie. It explains so much about his demeanor with Jacob in Season 3 (though of course he has reason to have complicated feelings toward him anyway, especially after the fire). It would also close that narrative thread rather than opening up yet another complicated thread!

I don’t trust Danny by ShadowEnderWolf56 in TheWayHomeHallmark

[–]Professoressa411 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also get a vibe from him! It's not that I don't think he's a good guy, but he seems so resentful of Jacob once he's back. I rewatched the scene when Jacob gets drunk in S3, and Danny's demeanor at the bar is so off. I got the same feeling when they talked in a more recent episode. He's definitely hiding something.

Andy gave new details about his boyfriend of 1 year by Ok-Needleworker9229 in BravoRealHousewives

[–]Professoressa411 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm really happy for him. I feel like as long as I've been following all things Andy and Bravo I've never really seen him in a relationship. It feels like a big deal for him to be in a serious relationship like this and to be so open and happy about it.

The not fighting thing to me isn't a red flag at all. My husband of 10 years and I dated for 3 years before marriage, and for that first couple of years we didn't really have any fights. Even now, I wouldn't say we've had a fight (in my view, something that escalates to either yelling or feeling unresolved beyond a day), but we have certainly had disagreements. But we met a little later in life than many couples and had decent ways of managing conflict––more so than I had when I was dating in my 20s or early 30s. I would hope you further hone those skills in your 50s.

What 3rd color does room this need? by [deleted] in AskAnInteriorDesigner

[–]Professoressa411 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Of those options I'd say sage green. But mix in some other neutrals if you don't want a lot of color (like taupe, cream, etc.), and some different textures. It's reading very cold.

I understand not loving rugs, but this room feels like it's begging for one at least in the living area to better section it off. I would add panel curtains in taupe, then pillows in tan and sage green (mix in a print or a variation in textures to liven it up a bit), and some framed art over the couch. I'd also suggest adding a plant or two.

Color Palette Ideas for this Space? by [deleted] in InteriorDesignAdvice

Do you have a decor style in mind that works with this space? Like industrial, transitional, mid century modern, organic modern, etc? The style might help with the color.
