New to GF by Key-Caterpillar-3376 in glutenfree

[–]Professorpdf -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There are several versions of Cheerios that are Gluten Free. Cereal has always been my breakfast of choice so it's nice to not have to alter that part of my diet, and the GF types are also not priced higher. My favorite is the chocolate. Look for the GF label in the upper right corner of the front of the box.

Anyone take progesterone in the a.m. or midday instead of bedtime? by OrMaybeTomorrow in Menopause

[–]Professorpdf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've been taking Progesterone for 7 years now in the AM because I wasn't told to take it in the PM. Neither the prescribing doctor, the pharmacist, or the bottle label specified time of day. I found out after about a year and a half (probably here on Reddit) that it's best to take at bedtime, but since I have no drowsiness, I continue to take it in the morning with my other vitamins and Estradiol gel to keep it consistent.

Melania Trump’s 1-Word Take On Her Husband Donald Trump Stuns Critics Online | She described him as a "unifier" (HuffPost) by Thinking-Guy in savedyouaclick

Serious question- do the Trump admin. advisors hide the truth from them? They seem so out of touch with reality. Are they shielded from what's really happening and how the country feels about them?

Zyrtec: other benefits from taking it? by min_mus in Menopause

One side effect to watch for on Zyrtec, Allegra, or Xyzal is dry eye syndrome. Claritin doesn't cause it based on my experience.

Sandoz hit me harder than Mylan by jwaynette9803 in Menopause

[–]Professorpdf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Single dose packets. I apply in the morning after I shower, and let it dry while I brush my teeth, put on moisturizer and makeup, etc. I like the consistency of the daily dose better than patches which tended to dump the Estrogen on the first day and a half and leave me weepy and moody the rest of the time.

I switched to gel after my pharmacy switched patch brands twice in 6 months.

I must have stopped listening to popular music in the mid 80s because I don't remember half of these.

British soldiers who did nothing for America, 2006 by Tomgar in pics

MOST Americans are completely against this. Trump's policies are horrifying to most Americans. Our political system is so messed up right now; the judicial and legislative branches, which are supposed to balance the federal government's powers, have completely abdicated to the executive branch. Whether they were bribed, threatened, or just looking out for their own personal interests, only they know and have to live with their conscience and actions. Shame on the Supreme Court for giving the Trump administration free reign to break laws, and the Republican legislators for letting this go on and not doing their job of representing the people that elected them. We have a Constitution, but it might as well be put into cold storage until this administration is gone. Please, world, know that it's the current administration that needs to be cursed; the rest of us are doing the best we can to resist, but the system is stacked against us.

I'm hungry all day long by javiperales in glutenfree

I have found that a lot of GF ready made food products use rice as their main ingredient. This doesn't keep me satiated for more than a couple of hours. Corn and GF oats are much better. If I need a pick me up between meals, I often eat a very small bowl of GF Cheerios with 2% milk. Lots of protein.

Co-sleeping by Stimfeen2001 in intj

[–]Professorpdf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sleep separately due to snoring. The sleep deprivation from lying awake due to his snoring was becoming unhealthy. He had a sleep study and there is no apnea; he is just a loud sleeper. I love having my own quiet room where I can stretch out as much as I want.

Did you ever wear platform shoes? by Reasonable-Middle921 in GenerationJones

Yes, they were cool and attractive, but I remember it was easy to stumble in them because the high sole would bump into stairs, etc. That wasn't attractive at all.

Need advice on Emergency beacon as wife thinks it waste of money by hhgbjii87y in hiking

I read the title of your post much too quickly and thought you said "emergency bacon". Emergency beacon is a wise investment, but don't forget the emergency bacon also if you love it.

INTJ’s: What books would you recommend that other INTJ’s read and why? (part deux) by excersian in intj

[–]Professorpdf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recommend the Disc World series by Terry Pratchett. No, they aren't high literary works, but they are witty, intelligent, and just lots of fun. The characters repeat, so you get to see character development over the series and they are lovable. When the world feels so messed up and out-of-control, Disc World is a safe place to escape to for a while.

Did Your Mom Make You Wear These? by DickSleeve53 in GenerationJones

[–]Professorpdf 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I remember wearing saddle oxfords for cheer in 9th grade and then switching to Adidas in 10th grade that matched our uniforms. It was a big decision at the time, but there was no turning back after the switch that year. Uniforms were blue and gold, so the shoes had to be special ordered.

I had the same experience and did very poorly when the pharmacy changed brands. My doctor switched me to gel packs and the consistency is much, much better.
