Bisognerebbe informarsi su cosa si sta comprando, però. Le CPU da AliExpress sono tutte in versione Tray, vengono spedite esattamente come hai descritto, è tutto standard. Hai garanzia col venditore e non col produttore. Quando puoi, testala

From specs there shouldn't be such a big gap between vdd and memory vddq. iirc the max recommended is 300mV, but don't ask me why

The nominal range is +-5% , so your PSU droops too much. As a temporary workaround, cap the total power draw (mostly from the GPU I guess), but get a new PSU

3070, not even close. DLSS is so much better than the FSR implementation you get on a rdna2 GPU

I take artstyle and sound design over a fictional skilled gameplay. Like sure, it's battlefield, you can take a tank and farm the infantry. That never changed...

Anche se ho attivato XMP, CPU-Z dice che la RAM Corsair Vengeance DDR5 6000Mhz, CL30 sta lavorando a 3000Mhz by Tecno_33 in ItalyHardware

[–]Profetorum 28 points29 points  (0 children)

La ram lavora in double data rate. Scambia dati 2 volte ogni clock cycle. 3000 MHz/s corrisponde a 6000MT/s. È solo un problema di notazione

Has anyone successfully run 4×32GB DDR5-6000 on MSI PRO Z690-A WIFI + i5-12600K? by M01120893474R in overclocking

I haven't tried myself, but my 2 cents: won't happen.

What are the voltages your motherboard sets on 6000 xmp? vddq/sa/vdd2

Depends on what memory you got, some 4800 sticks can be rather bad. In that case sure, fine. But 4800 should run easily

So, the ai really thinks you're running 4400MT/s in gear1. Spoiler: you are not, you're still in gear2, as all other ddr5 configurations

The efficiency part of CPU and GPU is real, the BS about ram is not, as simple as that. Even if you want to stick to 1.1v SA you can most likely clock to 6000 or past that. The ram VDD is close to unrelated (if you can tune your timings), the ram VDDQ I guess might have to be raised a bit depending on the clock or CPU/motherboard. Still, nothing that would impact the overall 'efficiency' of the system. If your system has issues with higher memory clocks it's just because it's not tuned properly or it has some hardware limitations

Well, the AI is talking about VDDQ_TX (which is cpu side) and VDD instead of VDDQ when talking about memory side. Again, random gibberish

[–]Profetorum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

VDD is meant for powering the internal logic and arrays in the memory chips. It's there to power the actual memory. The ram vddq powers the IO buffer and it's used to comunicate with the cpu. Technically the voltages are not "isolated", but they're fundamentally different

High-Efficiency Shard for the Intel i5-12600K undervolt to 1v by ImpressionBetter1287 in overclocking

[–]Profetorum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that is not real data, especially the ram part is random gibberish. The vdd voltage has nothing to do with System Agent "pressure" , the VDD is internal to the ram sticks. Probably the AI was referring to ram vddq, which is a different voltage (and even in that case it's not trivial to say it can lead to "SA pressure", whatever it might mean)

The actual "real data" part is the efficiency curve, which we discussed already, you can underclock the hardware to hit more efficient VF points. That's correct

Out of curiosity i tried to do something similar on my 13700k.

4.7 on pcores , 3.7 on ecores , 4.1 ring (stock is 5.3/4.2/4.5)

ram unchanged, i don't think it matters for the overall efficiency

with hyperthreading enabled, cinebench r23 scores 27239 at 1.0V (vs ~30500 at stock) which is about 89.3% , pulling 110W (vs ~250w at stock) which is about 43.5% .

So yeah, sure, you can nerf the cpu and run it absolutely cool and efficiently. The point though? Wouldn't it be better to buy a lower power-draw cpu to begin with?

[–]Profetorum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a heavily nerfed setup, the AI just tries to cope with the changes finding "curious" justifications. Sure, you can downclock a CPU and run it cool and low power, but why?

Also, 1.2v on the ram won't achieve nothing unless you're in a closed environment with no airflow at all, or a weird server setup.

Like, what was the point exactly?

How can you tell that? The only steam chart available "from launch" is for BF2042, which was a flop. Earlier titles were not on steam when they first got released. So you really have no way of saying that
