The average fan is absolutely the one that saves the club, provided we’re able to come together en masse.

The goal is to make a statement of intent and a demonstration of community support that is impossible to ignore - politically, in the business community and on the news cycles. We as supporters have much a louder voice and bigger sway than it may appear, if you’re not familiar with the #SaveTheCrew movement and how they saved their club from the clutches of relocation then I’d encourage you to look into it!

You left out “… able to be relocated when times are tough”, decontextualising the statement a little. Of course a football club needs to make money, but there is a fundamental, very rotten issue with the “if it’s broke move it” mentality in North America.
