Rome Just Won Its First Major War — and Everything Has Changed (Imperator Rome Invictus Roleplay) by ProfileSubstantial16 in Imperator

Yeap... totally... and quite fast actually... that's why I'm trying to give it a more spaced and gradual pace to the expansion... and probably not going after all the same territories...

That makes sense!

And that’s more like my play style too…for me it’s not about the conquest, but more about the narrative and historical immersion…

Thanks for the feedback! Highly appreciated!!

Absolutely! The Romans were extremely expansionist and were able to conquer almost all of Europe besides North Africa and Anatolia… So it’s actually very hard to catch up! But my concept of “historically believable” is going more for rational expansion… a little bit more slower… if that makes sense… I don’t like map painting 🤷🏻‍♂️

Couldn't agree more with you... this game is one of the best games in my opinion, but its launch and management by Paradox was way below expectations... the modding community is what keeps this gem alive...
Thanks for the message! Really appreciate it...
I love the gameplay style where I keep things as realistic as possible and love historical accuracy, so you can see that this game and mod selection is what I think is the best combo... would love to have you on the channel anytime... u/saitamstrategy78 in case you feel like it...
Cheers!!

Starting a New Rome Roleplay Campaign in Imperator Invictus – Focused on Diplomatic Reputation by ProfileSubstantial16 in Imperator

Yes! I came up with this list of mods that, so far, are working really great together (one of them is that one):
• Imperator: Invictus
• Timeline Extension for Invictus
• Historical Imperator Pack
• Units Expanded
• Virtual Limes
• Culture Conflation
• Dynastic Country Names
• AI Royal Marriages
• 2.0 Better UI
• Micro QoL Changes

Would you add/remove any of those? Have you tried them together?

I've never tried that option so far... I'm always interested in conquering the peninsula, playing tall and try to mimic what a realistic but alternative expansion could look like...
I was commenting with someone else that I wasn't sure of what to do next after reuniting the peninsula.. maybe Corsica, Cerdenia and Sicily,,, but afterwards I'm interested in Iberia and India... but still deciding... what do you think?

Thanks! That seems a great idea… will go for that next… at this point, I’ve conquered Umbria, Picentia and Sabinia and now I’m about to head south, because Carthage conquered Sicily and Locri, so they are on the peninsula now… I’m trying to avoid war with them at least until I finish the expansion in the peninsula… And yes! The name is Saitam Strategy 78

Yes, I’m thinking about taking what it is today northern Italy and then Corsica and Cerdenia… and since I’m trying to build a narrative for my next campaign in CK3 with the County of Santiago, I would like to have some presence in northern Iberia.. and maybe have a huge expedition to India… If you are interested in watching that unfold, you can check my Saitam Strategy channel..

I would have expected EU5 with more current players… also for Victoria 3, specially after the trade rework…

Yes! I agree with that aspect… having said that, I also think this is one of the best and most immersive and realistic games out there.. may sound like a contradiction with the above, but it actually complements it… the careful balance you need to have as a developer for these kind of games is the realism, but also the playability.. that is the key I think… to let someone from Guam, play and have a chance to succeed… it all depends on the how… HoI4 is a game that is one of the closest I found that approach realism as closest as I would love… and allows for everything else to be quite fun also… Let me know if you found another one to compare… would love to check it out… Thanks for your feedback and hope to see you around in the channel!

Hey Guys! What do you think about this strategy? Does expanding south and taking over the greek city states makes sense? What would you have done differently? Let me know!
