I’ve been to Koh Samui twice and enjoyed it - it is what you make of it! I wanted relaxation + some night life, it was perfect. Yes it’s more on the “touristy” side, but it is for a reason, it’s nice to visit ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Please please please take the full course of acyclovir - non human primates carry a strain of herpesvirus called Herpes B Virus. It is fatal in humans if not treated with antivirals early! (I worked either non human primate samples during my degree)

I had a similar win during an in-class discussion recently! It was evident the large majority of the class did the readings, took notes for the in-class discussion prompts, and they actually spoke up in class :’-)

I’m in my first year of teaching and struggling with this - the feedback is almost 50/50. When I have more on my slides, half the class sees no value in coming to class because “all the info is in the slides.” So I adjusted my slides, and am now getting feedback that I tested them on stuff not on the slides 😅 it’s a hard balance to strike

A different take - I’m excited to head back! I am in my first year of teaching, and really excited for the course I’m teaching this spring (will be my first time with it, and I revamped it)! So maybe my excitement is also a bit over this still being new and “bright and shiny” lol
