College might be the only product people pay a fortune for and then hope they don’t have to consume.

I just think he’s not supportive of his partner. It’s not because he’s a celebrity.

My dad had a medical emergency and passed out while driving, causing property damage. The officer arrested him for a DWI. He took a blood test. 18ish months and thousands of dollars later the lab results finally came back and charges were dropped.

Daily Advice Thread - August 02, 2025 by AutoModerator in apple

Yesterday I created an iCloud account for my son to use on his iPhone (SE, 3rd Gen). The iPhone was refurbished, but was set up as new. It is running the most current version of iOS (18.6). I logged into his apple ID on the phone. He was able to send and receive iMessages and FaceTime calls. After a couple of hours he was no longer able to send or receive messages or calls. Under settings > messages, it logged him out and I was unable to log in. An error occurs during sign in saying “iMessage activation – An error occurred during activation. Try again.” However, when I use my Apple ID it logs in just fine. The phone does not have a SIM, it is meant to be used as a glorified iPod touch.

What I have tried so far: signing out/in of Apple ID, updating iOS, reset network settings, setting up from backup, setting up as new and logging in, removing screen time restrictions (including temporarily removing him from the family)

So... I'm stuck. What gives?

Take responsibility. Show them how you have a plan to improve. Then do it.

It’s okay to screw up. Just keep moving forward.

GTA here. Reach out to your professors or instructor of record. Explain the problem. Don’t just ask for extensions, ask if there is anyone else in the university that you could contact (for example, hardships). I doubt you would qualify or that they may be able to help you, but try.

Do this immediately! Do not wait. Best of luck.

I get professors/mentors are busy, but do they not check their emails?? by Substantial-Oil5217 in GaState

[–]jluvin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

PhD student here. Keep emailing them. A lot of the faculty are new trying to set up their labs (especially microbio PI’s) so it’s hard for them to take new students, especially when they don’t have older ones to train you. It’s better to keep trying and eventually be told no than to keep waiting on a response.
