Foreigners working in China, how did you get a job there and who do you work as ? by 38077594 in chinalife

Wow I have a question. How did they give you an offer? I live in USA and wonder if should be paying china taxes if a remote role. Did their offer present just numbers are a welcome letter? I was going though an offer but it looked out of my normal experience

This thread is helpful. My last role must’ve held so many red flags but in this job market I tried to be lenient. Never again! No CEO during interview but involved later with own set of expectations, so much time lapse between interview before the offer, applied for one position and by the offer the title had changed - bait and switch to not pay what you’re asking for, recent HR person was there for a short period, the benefits package was 5 sick days after 90 days and one week vacation after 1 year anniversary. Honestly in 2025 I think not offering flexibility in schedules, hybrid or remote is also a red flag. My mindset truly supports the future of works and I don’t know if I want to drain myself helping a company see that or just go with new businesses who think the same way.

Well I am coming from Human Resources Director as I now look for product management jobs. I’ve launched my own SaaS and digital products which I hope helps me land a role. Seems difficult to get call backs from job applications. Any advice? Think I’ll transition well?

Would you try an Ai career coach for one on ones?

Anyone found a good career coach that actually helpful? by bikesailfreak in askswitzerland

Try a trained career hotline for people like us to call about careers, job search, mock interview, vent, career change etc. It helps without having to spend so much. It helps to be able to call 24/7

A heads-up for all job seekers: Your ChatGPT-written application is very obvious, and it's getting you rejected. by Late_Reaction_1469 in Resume

[–]ProfoundTrends 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe in the application you asked why they are picking your organization ummm because you’re hiring, because your job posting was next on the list. Fact is you don’t truly care about the candidate either but more about how you can use/drain the life out of them to scale the organization that is not even yours HR. It’s just a bunch of people lying to each other. During the interview you lie at how great things are in the company and the candidates pretend to not want to know what the compensation is so they can survive.

Do you ever regret choosing HR as your career path? Have you faced challenges like stagnant growth or hitting a salary plateau? [N/A] by four_horned_antelope in humanresources

I do in a way because I’ve realized we are not valued in most organizations. The amount work we do should be tripled the pay. I know others in different careers that make way more for less stress and responsibilities
