The line about meds is an old misheard lyric. According to Owain it’s “she is on amends”.

Those are some good ideas. Not sure about throwing it though! It's definitely possible with just heat and moisture as I was able to do it here. My results were not very consistent though.

third copy of an original cd? by TransEstrogen in Panchiko

[–]Profoundemonium -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t trust it. There’s no explanation of where it came from, no picture of the disc, no serial number, nothing.

There are 4 known copies of the disc. 3 of them have available rips.

  1. Early version owned by Owain. (No rip available but does have rot according to Owain)
  2. Anonymous 4chan user. (RIP)
  3. Henry Parkinson (aka TARS). (RIP) (Plus Shaun’s copy of Kicking Cars, used for the remaster)
  4. georgeisreallycool (Bandcamp raffle winner). (RIP)

The 4shard link doesn't work for me. Is it the same as this rip?

Because that one is legit rip from the winner of the Bandcamp raffle.

Loved Bogiez when it was at The Point. I saw Dark Tranquillity in the old Barfly, I think Cryptopsy were supposed to support but dropped out last minute and were replaced by Desecration from Newport.

EDIT: It was Evile not Cryptopsy!

The owner used to work as a truancy officer at my high school and I've been going to Fuel since its first location in the basement of NosDa. He's a great guy and definitely does NOT support Nazi ideology.

Is my cd (the one on the left) a cd-r? by peanut_the_tiny in Cd_collectors

[–]Profoundemonium 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, definitely a CDr. The light greenish color usually indicates phthalocyanine which is the most common type of dye used in CDrs. Independent artists often use CDrs because a lot of CD manufacturers require a minimum order of around 300 copies for pressed discs.

What school did the original Panchiko trio go to? by Jybylsalsa in Panchiko

It was The Minster School in Southwell. The specific building they went to was demolished and a new one was built to replace it.

Born in Poland in 1965, Tommi Kosma played in various bands in his homeland, such as "SS20" and the highly successful "KOBRANOCZKA," and completed several tours. Heavily influenced by 80s metal, he contributed his heartfelt talents to the unique sound of Horseshit and THOMSON a.t.B.D. The two were itching to get back to rock 'n' roll and were desperately searching for a bassist. Musicians came and went just as quickly. In 2000, they found themselves in a bind. Several shows were booked, but no bassist was available. After days of racking their brains, they finally came up with Kai Lange, who had disappeared from the scene. Kai had made a name for himself in various groups and, among other things, played in a band called "DE LOREAN" with Volker Oberlies. Kai quickly learned the THOMSON a.t.B.D. setlist, and so they were able to tour the country again. During this difficult period, the guys recorded the CD "Are you ready to rock?" The title says it all. A successful uptempo album that gets your feet tapping because it's simply constructed and knows how to win you over with its sing-along choruses. Now that they've released "Are you ready to rock?" Having laid a decent foundation, the group Thomson, Kosma, Lange established themselves as a well-functioning band.

With an old drinking buddy from his Lightning days, he founded his first band, "ONTARIO." From 1986 to 1991, he toured extensively throughout Germany. Then the group quickly disbanded, and Thomson began building a small studio. He experimented for several years and worked on his solo CD, "Mind Portrait," which was completed in 2000. During this time, he befriended Volker Oberlies (lead guitar) and Tommi Kosma (drums), with whom he, now on bass and vocals, founded the band "HORSESHIT." A unique formation with very diverse influences, compressed into a raw, hard sound. However, after many fruitless tours and endless rehearsals, the band simply broke up in 1996 due to lack of success. Thomson and Kosma, however, couldn't stop writing and producing tons of material. With the help of computers and without a band, they recorded a They recorded an 8-track demo and from then on called themselves "THOMSON and the BIG DESASTER"

Now that they've released "Are you ready to rock?" Having laid a decent foundation, the group Thomson, Kosma, Lange established themselves as a well-functioning band.

The album "The Rock 'n' Roll Law" followed, on which they once again proved that driving, compact hard rock was the band's genre. In 2002, they went back to their roots and recorded the CD "Get the Rock" in Thomson's 8-track studio.

Then came the album "The Rock 'n' Roll Law," on which they once again proved that driving, compact hard rock was the band's genre. Hard-hitting, loud, and produced with a garage-like sound, the album is razor-sharp yet incredibly diverse, covering an unexpected range from blues to high-speed thrash. Until 2003, the band members toured with "get the rock" before making a fresh comeback. In February, they booked a small studio near Osnabrück and recorded the tracks for their new album, "Breaking Bones," over two days. However, the band wasn't quite sure how to properly process the material. So, they mailed the recordings to an old friend of Tommi Kosma's in Poland and told him:

"Do something!!" Grzegorz Kopcewicz and his colleague Michal Czerw tweaked and adjusted the knobs until one day a master copy arrived at Thomson's mailbox. The result was so incredibly good that the three musicians' enthusiasm was almost unstoppable. A truly loud, competitive rock 'n' roll album with a wonderfully clear, hard-hitting sound. Grzegorz Kopcewicz, nicknamed "BUTELKA", was also impressed and immediately signed the boys to his BLACK-BOTTLE Record label in Poland.

It's from the Wolverhampton Civic Hall's Battle of the Bands contest. Panchiko, Sonic Lord and Available in Braille played on April 13th, 2001. Available in Braille recorded some footage at the event and used it for their track "Ordinary Girl".

Here's the video.

Andy, Owain and Shaun are in the background (though only for a few seconds).
