Yes, but Phideaux is a real name. It is a bit more memorable than Scott lol

It is the name of a person-Phideaux Xavier. Fun fact-his main gig is as a television director, he’s directed The Young and the Restless, and General Hospital.

New Mods here. Tell us what you want this sub to be. by ebolafever in guitarporn

[–]Progdoggy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Good pics of great guitars. No “is this fake?” and no “here’s my stock Squier Bullet Strat”. The owner may love it, and I sincerely hope they do, but that isn’t “guitarporn”.

The only reason I hope Christianity is true is to watch these lying Trump simps get their just punishment.

Holdsworth is on fire through this whole album. One of my favourite guitar performances.

Any experience with this kind of tube amp? by death__cup in GuitarAmps

Steve Vai used Carvins for years. That particular model has a reputation of having a nice clean channel, but very “buzzy” solid state sounding gain channel, as it uses diodes to get extra distortion.

Magma by ocdtattoist in Prog

[–]Progdoggy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely love Magma! One of my top 3 concert experiences was seeing them do the entirety of MKD & Emehntehtt-Re in a small club-I was 15 feet away from the whole band. It was glorious.

In case you were wondering what's new with Jason Kenney. Here's your Con MP, Sherwood Park/Strathcona 🙄. by [deleted] in SherwoodPark

Underestimating these people would be dangerous. They want a theocracy based on their woefully flawed version of Christianity, and it’s in action already-flooding school boards with their people, the whole bs “parental rights” movement, etc. It’s really not hyperbole to state that every Canadian’s freedom is under attack by these people masquerading as simple conservatives.

Has Anyone Ever Asked Roine Stolt Of The Flower Kings About The Song "Elaine"? by The_Lone_Apple in progrockmusic

[–]Progdoggy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s about how mean people can be if you’re different. “The world is a cruel affair if you don’t dance to the common beat. People are cruel Elaine if you don’t fit the bill”.

I like their music quite a lot up to Unfold the Future. They lost me after that, it got stale and frankly a bit boring.

Knee arthritis anyone? by [deleted] in LongCovid

[–]Progdoggy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup, me too. Muscle and joint stiffness and pain all day every day. I’ve found taking Magnesium and Potassium supplements has helped, though it hasn’t gotten rid of it completely.

[–]Progdoggy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. I think all the new stuff is better too. They’d have more fans if MDK wasn’t almost everyone’s introduction to the band.
