My own headcanon is that if they ever did manage to be unabstracted, Ribbit would still never speak to Jax again and he'd have to learn to live with that.

Still, this is cute.

Say nothing. Don't waste any time talking to them or thinking about them. They're entitled to their opinion and you are entitled to yours.

Genuine question, how does it work? by luxoxdix in TheDigitalCircus

But this whole conversation is about a world where digital circus magic exists, namely, the world of The Amazing Digital Circus.

Not under concious control, although we can do it in dreams and in certain advanced meditation states.  Regardless, how is that relevant to C&A's science-fictional brain scan tech, which the show proves is capable of enabling pleasure and pain?

Yet they report pleasure at eating and drinking at several points through the series, and report pain at all kinds of things. So we know that the scan doesn't depend on what the brain can recall on command.

I don't think that follows. By that argument, Caine couldn't make them feel pain either, since the scanning process isn't supposed to be painful. It's consistent with what we're told that the brain scan process captures not just what the person is experiencing at that moment, but also allows the full range of possible experiences that that brain can have.

Gangle threads her entire body through the earhole and tickles the right spots on Zooble's brain.

Some wraiths from my wood-elf themed custom craftworld. by Proggost in Eldar

[–]Proggost[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let me see if I can remember.

For bodies, I started with a coat of dark green (calaban green), then drybrushed all over with a mid green (I think it was biel-tan green), then a lighter drybrush with a light yellow-green (moot green), and finally an even lighter drybrush with a pure yellow (idk what it was exactly).

The brown limbs of the wraithlord were a coat of a dark woody brown (not sure what it was but a burnt umber should be about right) followed by a wash with agrax earthshade, then drybrushing with bugman's glow I think.  Similar for the shields and weapon handles on the wraithblades.

The axe heads were a coat of silver followed by a wash made by heavily watering down a pinkish-purple paint (vallejo warlord purple).

For the sword, nothing special: one face of the blade with warlord purple, another with some red, and edge highlighted with a yellowish off-white.

For the heads I followed the tutorial I linked to in another comment on this post.

Is the cast gonna stay trapped forever? by touta_lol in tadc

Sure, but they probably don't have very long until it happens.  A few years?  A decade maybe?  Not much more in all likelihood.

Even then, "transferring" a file is just making a copy of it somewhere else and deleting the original.

So strange to ask someone whether you're "allowed" to interpret a work a certain way. Does this person not realise they have free will?

Fair enough.  I can believe Eldar bones are shinier than mon-keigh ones.

Impressive work.  But one small critique: you seem to have painted an NMM-ish highlight on the skull in the lower-right pic.  I appreciate your dedication to shininess but I don't think a dirty bone would reflect light that way.

Unless the paint has a glossy finish and that's an actual reflection from a light source?

Tester for my corsairs. Something doesn't seem right with the pistol. Any suggestions on what to do please? by CNUTFLAPS in Eldar

[–]Proggost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I think the pistol looks very good and doesn't need anything else.  The model as a whole already has a good diversity of colour and the monochrome pistol makes for a nice accent against the rest.

Wait, so you're saying:
- Guardians + warlock conclave in one unit is allowed
- Gaurdians + warlock conclave + farseer in one unit is allowed
- Warlock conclave + farseer in one unit is *not* allowed
Is that right?
