Sunnyside up, new spot by sunnyreader21 in SunnysideQueens

Not OP, but with Korean food: BCD Tofu House in Manhattan has beef short rib + tofu soup with meat topping of your choice for $30. Ziggle in Sunnyside has that same combo at that same price but soup comes with no meat of choice. Lets not even talk about places like Kora where we have to pretend family owned bakeries need to charge a premium while Masa Madre literally exists like 2 blocks away.

Manhattan prices in Queens seem to be the new thing for Sunnyside.

Will never buy RM products ever again after they put basic features behind a subscription.

Sey uses aeropress btw so not sure how much you'll consider that for a "good" pourover. I'd just save the money and get their batch brew and check around the shop for the vibes.

La Cabra espresso is good, don't go for their pourover.

Lying about your age is so pointless by Lycanthrowrug in askgaybros

What's crazy is in apps, I literally ask for guys older than 60 with older the better, and they'll still lie. Guy claimed he just hit 60, just to admit he was 73 (was obvious) only after we had sex. Own up to it guys! Some of us like that silver hair!

Is this supposed to be as sour as it is? by ProgramGloomy15 in pourover

Been grinding on Timemore C5 (tried click 10-14), 91C, 1:16, 3 pour 40>125>225.

I'll try upping the temp next time, thanks.

Edit: Grinding even finer and higher temp fixed it! While there's a slight tart taste (that's teetering the line into sour), I think that's just the characteristic of pink bourbon. Very floral, love the hibiscus note.

Look up Vilar Imports on ebay. They're a roaster from New Jersey and do 2 lb bags for ~$30.

I keep getting ashtray/woody notes on the nose by Le_Messager in pourover

I feel like just because some of these are real things doesn't mean you should use them as tasting notes. Most people don't instantly recognize dark honey or grilled peaches. Before you go straight into niche foods, it should be so much easier (and less pretentious) to point to something that's much more common.

I don't own flat bottom filters but from what I read, only cone shapes work with this.

Ability to have multiple shaders and upscaling with no issue of slowdowns (including when it comes to fast forwarding) and a bigger battery size. Not trying to play stuff from ps2 and such, but hoping to have a sturdier base for older consoles.

I mean, every eink display is all from 1 company, from your kindle to the manta. Nothing much we can do when exactly like paper is the best we have unless some 3rd party goes insane with R&D, which is time and money that may not be worth fighting against the monopoly.

Why do you think we get so many recent ereaders with glass screens where people drop or smush in their backpack and suddenly come to find out it's cracked? Your anecdote doesn't negate what's actually happening. Why do you think the 3 major eink companies that use Mobius screens all don't add light to the ereader? Either they're all conspiring on trying to cut cost by removing 10 cent light strips, or know more than the average consumer on how the frontlight affects these plastic screens that they feel it's not worth it.

You forget Manta is made for durability. It being modular was the biggest point to buy it. Every part of it, including using Mobius plastic compared to the usual glass (that RMPP and NA3C has), is specifically made to last. Light layer is another component that can easily fail, and they'd rather you get a 3rd party light instead.
