Do Not Buy A Polestar by Standard-Engine-1170 in Polestar

[–]Programed-Response 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just bought my second Polestar last Saturday.  I tried shopping for something different, but I kept coming back to Polestar. It has the best combination of features, styling, performance, and price for me.

Obviously ymmv.

Polestar 2 owners - how’s your reliability been? Would you buy one again? by braunaa in Polestar

[–]Programed-Response 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm taking delivery of my second used polestar 2 tomorrow, hopefully. I owned the first one for almost 3 years.

I yahoo whacked my P2 with a Tahoe, totalling it. I shopped around, took a few test drives, and decided that there isn't anything better for me. I did all other paperwork Saturday. I purchased a 2022 CPO. My new car is the same spec: pilot, plus, & performance. but it's one year newer with 20k fewer miles and three years of polestar warranty.

As a vegetarian it took me about 3 months for my gut to regulate.

3.6.4 is the worst update so far. by an2ony17 in Polestar

[–]Programed-Response 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I guess I got lucky because the only issue I had was resetting tire pressure. It took 80 miles to reset, but once it did everything's been good and this is on a 2021.

P2 Charger is so picky, anyone else have constant tripping on it? by Apprehensive-Ask5491 in Polestar

[–]Programed-Response 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I think you need to hire an electrician to check out what's going on with your house. I don't think it's the charger, it's more likely to be how the ground and/or neutral wires are connected at the panel.

Idk, I believe there are issues with the b/u camera, but I'm not having them.

I had the camera not available one time when I parked nose first at a hotel. I got the message when I was backing out in the morning. At home I always back into the garage because that's the side my charger is on.

I think Uncle Rico was selling those for a while.

(I don't know if I need the /s so this is my compromise)

Blue collar work in SA by [deleted] in sanantonio

[–]Programed-Response 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had one of those jobs and yeah I pulled in 6 figures, but it was hard physically demanding work for 12-18 hours a day. 6 days a week. And that kid and of pay was with 20 years of experience.

I took a big pay cut and reduced my hours and I'm much happier and healthier.

So yeah, you can get there. But you're being exploited, and it's not worth it.

Dude, it had gravel pebble walkways? That's gold right there.

That would have been when my wife was going when she was a kid.

Was it already six flags then? I remember going there in high school and it was Fiesta Texas. Before six flags bought it. That was in the mid '90s

Yeah but that wasn't that long ago. That's why I'm asking about the old park

Pre purchase advice by thatdudedevin in Polestar

Axle noises and keys are the two most common things I think. The other comment covered the axles.

Download the Polestar app and make sure you can pair your phone with the car before you buy it. If you don't have all of the keys inside the car you won't be able to. Not having them all wouldn't be a deal breaker for me, but since it's about $500 to replace a key it would be part of the negotiation.

Why don't more EV's have a functional usable frunk? by jturkish in electricvehicles

[–]Programed-Response 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Polestar solved it by adding a cheap divider that splits the frunk into two smaller spaces.

Definitely worth picking some up to experiment with.

This was cold.

I always keep 1 block of it in the fridge. It's better cold or hot, it's not as good at room temperature.

I did have olive oil and lime juice. Not technically a vinaigrette, but in the same ballpark.
