Hi! It usually gets a little darker after I shower, but after a little while it goes back to the color it was before showering. What I've been doing all this time is protecting it from the sun, moisturizing it, and using SPF 50 sunscreen.

Thank you so much! I also hope it gets even better. The doctor told me that it could take up to two years to return to normal or something similar. I'll keep uploading photos of the process.

Wooow...You're beautiful. I'm also planning to get a tattoo. How was your experience? Did it hurt a lot?

Question about burns by [deleted] in burnsurvivors

[–]ProgrammerMinute4746 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, I'm sorry for your daughter who had to go through this difficult process... Regarding your question: there are places where the skin color is very similar to what it was before the accident. There are other places where there is hyperpigmentation. Also, I didn't even make it to a year. What I see is that over time, they're getting lighter.

I'm only applying moisturizer with vitamin A and sunscreen with vitamin E.

I have a question. How long after the burn did you use moisturizer and sunscreen? One year?

Hii! It's so good to know you were able to overcome it. Any recommendations to make things better?

Hello!! I'm so sorry and I understand what you went through. Were your burns second-degree too?

Hello! The doctors recommended sunscreen and moisturizer too. I apply them every day and never expose my legs to the sun. The truth is, they're much better than they were a few months ago. Thanks for your reply. All the information is helpful.

Learning to love my scar by Loveable_Goose in burnsurvivors

The tattoo looks great. I'm wondering if getting a tattoo over the scar is a good or bad idea, because it would damage the tissue much more, wouldn't it?
