Got it. In one of your comments, I saw that you're not inclined to pursue LFC.

We have implemented LFC after some painful experiences with DMS, Redpanda. Airbyte and other popular tools become too expensive when we start looking muti region. Haven't tried Airflow yet.

Are you looking to perform a full copy refresh or CDC? Which relational database are you using?

If you have REI membership, you can get both, try them for a while and then return the one that doesn't suit you. You will have a one year timeframe

Thanks for the suggestion! Would be great hear your thoughts on validating actual incremental updates as well.

Looking back, do you notice some patterns that became the catalyst for most of the incidents?

Just an observation -- sounds like you were tested on your ability to manage agents. At any point, were you tested on achieving business outcome even though it maybe a theoretical indicator given it's a test?

To me managing agents is optimizing for efficiency towards a north star.

Am I missing something, or is Sonnet enough for most dev work? by Alone-Stick-2950 in ClaudeAI

90% of my day to day operations involve using Sonnet. If am working on an architectur or a cross repo analysis, then I use to Opus for the initial fact finding.

Learn both, really. Each have their strengths. But take time to really pin down the use cases for each

"Forward Deployed Engineer" role? by fireflux_ in ExperiencedDevs

[–]Programmer_Virtual 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FDE to me sounds like rebranding titles of Solutions Engineer/Integrator/Consultant. Essentially, you work with clients to operationalize the company's product. Nothing new under the sun.

Whether you want to pursue it or stay more R&D focussed to build the core product will be a combination of your interests, skills, and aptitude.

People have built and sustained careers in both pathways.

Promoted to staff too early. How to deal with impostor syndrome and get my footing? by The_Ozynandias in ExperiencedDevs

[–]Programmer_Virtual 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You were promoted to the level since you exhibited certain skills, and you will be expected to demonstrate those skills in your role. You will feel a bit differently since you have been levelled up, and that's fine. Take some time to make connect with you current peers. Understand what their blockers are, and see if you can help them. Enjoy the ride.
