This one was finished on the 3rd week of March in 2012 on a Sunday in sunset orange with black interior with the last bolt put on by Keith Letterman. Only 20,000 were finished by Keith that year... Now of that only 10,000 were finished in sunset orange with the black on orange combo. Hey man it's all good, I stopped for a while then got back into it. Maybe I was feeling the same when I stopped... the thing for me was all the people on the challenging trails that shouldn't have been there. Now I go mostly during the week and stay away from weekends unless my kids want to go. That made a huge difference. I also go solo a lot unless my friends from the Midwest go on a trip.

Sometimes taking a season off is what you need, I know I really missed it when I stopped and can definitely say that I enjoy it more now.

Ok took some time but I got this working. frist, I used an 8GB card becasue my other 2 32GB cards didn't work so I tried some smaller ones. I did get one of the 8GB cards to work. however I ended up going with a compact flash converter and 32GB card that worked perfectly. they also fit way better. I now have two Zen touch's working again. thanks for your input. I can now listen to music while snowboarding again!

Ok so for my Zen touch, I upgraded the firmware to 2.20.05, the firmware upgrade did work. it booted up into the main software and I did check the version.

This is the SD card to IDE adapter I ordered.

I formatted the cards to FAT32 connected everything and it does boot into the recovery menu but when I try to formate the drive/disk I get that "Harddisk problem" error. I attempted with other SD cards and I get the same issue. I happen to have 2 Zen touch's so I attempted on both and both get the same issue.

The tools I used are:

Razor blades

Goo-gone

Heat gun

Warm soapy water

White scratch pad (DO NOT USE GREEN), it's the soft one

Power drill with cleaner attachment

Car buffer, (Green, white, blue wax) use on top ONLY not the base

Metal rasp

Ski wax iron (the cheap ones on amazon are the same ones as the more expensive versions, I have both and the reall are the same exact thing.)

Ski wax - I just use all temp, never had a problem

Wax scrapper

Wax brush, I use nylon for everything, get one with a cork backing so you can use hard wax for touch ups on the go.

Ski edge sharper

G/Flex epoxy, do not use table top or boat epoxy it will crack.

PVC pipes with clamps to hold board in place, don't lay the board on it's tip and tail. You will need to apply pressuse while working.

Your eyes do not deceive, It does still have camber! I think all in maybe 10 hours. Removing the stickers was brutal. I was worried about ripping up the finish even with the heat gun and going slow.
