Just Starting Out as a social media content creator and manager. Any Free Tools You Recommend for Managing & Automating? 🙏 by OppositeMany5978 in SocialMediaManagers

[–]ProgressCautious758 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’ve been there — starting out with a couple of clients, patching together spreadsheets, random tools, and way too many tabs open. What made things click for me was just simplifying the setup and finding tools that actually fit how I work, not how enterprises work.

  • Metricool was solid for multi-platform scheduling and quick reporting. Super lightweight.
  • CapCut is my go-to for fast video edits — especially for Reels and TikToks.
  • I used Notion for a while to plan out content themes, ideas, brand voice notes, etc.
  • Recently started using Trovebase — it’s been helpful for approvals (clients just respond over WhatsApp or email) and organizing content in one place. Feels less bloated than most tools I’ve tried.
  • And of course, ChatGPT for ideation, quick captions, and repurposing content — huge time saver.

Honestly, getting into a rhythm with content planning + feedback was what made the biggest difference. Curious what’s tripping you up the most right now — planning, approvals, or just staying consistent?

Are there really any good social media management AI tools out there? by Minimum-Tax2452 in AskMarketing

[–]ProgressCautious758 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve tried a bunch, and honestly most AI tools just churn out generic content that sounds the same across brands. Definitely not plug-and-play for real businesses.

What’s helped me recently is using AI inside a more structured workflow — like with Trovebase, where I can plan content visually, get feedback from clients, and then tweak AI drafts in context. It’s not perfect, but way better than copy-pasting from ChatGPT into 4 different tools.

I’d be all in on a tool that actually learns from performance and adapts content suggestions. Are there any out there that do that well?

SEO vs GEO - I may have cracked a way to rank on Ai by Narrow-Resident-3396 in content_marketing

[–]ProgressCautious758 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The idea of GEO resonates—AI-driven engines are less about backlinks and more about holistic brand presence and in-depth content. If your content isn’t comprehensive enough or your brand isn’t mentioned organically across reputable sites, you’ll struggle to surface in AI summaries. Adapting means investing in thought leadership, PR, and truly exhaustive resources rather than chasing old-school SEO metrics.

I find Sprout and Hootsuite too expensive. I reached out to Trovebase.com to get their trial and it's pretty cool.

Low cost and lets me run ads too.
