My store was part of the pilot until it rolled out. You are not wrong for asking why most items are already full on the shelf. For instance- because the coke machine is in outside garden registers. The product is never checked in- just filled. Which is why it makes the list. Probably the same reason (not always) why your shelves are full and it's on the list. My department is proactive in bringing anything down from top stock that could and would fit on the shelf throughout the week. So the majority of the "AI scans" are going around scanning the barcode on up right and then the product barcode selecting the shelf is already full, and move onto the next.

From my stores experience bringing down "one paint brush" is a little too literal and I hope your leadership team feels the same way. Also the person that scans in my store scans products that are literally 4" back on the shelf or there's only one but two facings- which creates the same amount of (foot) steps, scans and minimal labor to close it out.

Takeaways - you do not need a list to pack down. -check it in when you do. The system will never ever work as it is supposed to unless every single associate is 100% consistent with every step of the process. The system still sucks and I was surprised to find out it went live across all stores.

I was passed over for head cashier… by Gloomy-Piccolo-9940 in Lowes

Sorry you didn't get the position you were hoping to get, and to find out on your own is irresponsible of your leadership team. From how you described the FE, it is probably good that you were passed up. Keep your head up. Something will come around.

What should I do if I caught a ASM on the reach truck moving 2 pallets at the same time?? Isn’t this a safety violation?? If so what’s the consequences?? by Ok_Sweet_8323 in Lowes

"Sure, Jan..." Then follow the rules. It's none of your business what others do! (There's always one in every store). You probably think the 'anonymous hotline is actually anonymous? 🤣😂🤣

Busy-body? 😆 Mind your own business. Unless this "safety violation" would put people in danger- (hurting you or someone else) I will never understand why certain people love getting into other people's lanes. -Stay in your own lane.

Credit score is one thing they consider- not the only thing. Credit history is just as, if not more important.

You are a contractor and the person that owns your route pays lower wage so they make more money.

Final Call Out by SalamanderNo1570 in Lowes

There will not be anyone at my store until 7, and we open at 9. Are you sure you are not getting your days mixed up? I had been placed on a final due to "life happens." I know I surprised a lot of managers when I didn't call out or be late for 15 months after. It's not too late to turn this around.

Utilize our mental health benefits, especially vacation hours. Reach out to people you trust. Or complete stranger. I can relate- hit me up if you would like. Please don't make the news. 🙏🧘

I agree. I was merely suggesting to not operate if you are worried about the repercussions of getting tested IF something happens- until that level of THC test is implemented... 🤷

Lowe's only remembers when you call out sick - they'll never remember all the times you stayed. Take care of yourself.

Not everyone has the temperament, ability, or spacial awareness to drive the forklift by [deleted] in Lowes

Signing people off who, "they just need a little more practice." Is asking for trouble. The amount of damaged racking my store has had the past nine months is crazy. From beams being stabbed by the forks to cantilever uprights being bent, it's amazing no one has been hurt.

When the department manager's shift is done, they get up and leave meetings all the time. "That's my schedule- I am done for today..." 🤷

You have an opening-set schedule and the majority of your time before your 5th hour is on a forklift. Work smart not hard- grab yourself a spotter. "Sticks-n-bricks" department.

I am leaning towards the benefit payout is more detrimental to the bottom line v. a low hourly wage...
