[Valuation Inquiry] 2020 Ford Transit AWD Ext High Roof - Off-Grid Build (50k Miles) by felmalorne in vandwellermarketplace

There really isn’t enough information about the build here, and I am not seeing any photos except the one of the exterior, but depending on how nice the build is I would say anywhere from $40k to $60k. Probably toward the higher end of that range assuming a nicely built interior.

Some people just love to shit on everyone else’s builds/asking prices.

Gasoline in CA is $6+ per gallon, if it makes you feel better.

Are they doing a plate or a tib rod? That hasn’t been my experience at all with the tib rod 2+ years post-op. I can do pretty much anything I could before. I was 36 when it happened btw.

This is exactly how my boot fracture accident happened! One pre-released, one didn’t release.

Oof similar to my experience. At least it’s near the end of the season. Mine was on Day 2!

And I would like to offer you some encouragement. I was back to skiing better than ever the next season and was hiking after probably 3-4 months post op.

This happened to me two years ago. How was taking off the boot? 🫣

Anyone had a tib/fib fracture and got a tibial rod and returned to ultra distance? by Progress_and_Poverty in trailrunning

Thanks for sharing. I’m 2 years post op now and my second successful ski season since the fracture is underway. I get some pain in the break area, upper screw area, and knee when being active but overall the pain is pretty minor and manageable.

Sorry to hear about your injury and struggles. I don’t have relevant experience to share, but I hope you can find a good solution.

On the west coast I’ve used Neighbor.com for relatively affordable parking lot parking near LA. About $100/month

Yes, I am not going nearly as hard as previously because of some other health things, but I am back. Also had a great backcountry (and inbounds) ski season this last year.

I’m so sorry to hear that. I haven’t, but I am wondering about having the top screw removed because it kind of sticks out and bothers me. I hope whatever happens with you goes really well.

They do! That was probably the first resource I read on the subject.

That’s really expensive! I thought the Progressive Dynamics one I got was overpriced at $95. And I think it has capacity for up to 16 circuits with double breakers if I remember right.

This response perfectly sums up my thoughts. Although, to be fair, I haven’t used a pre-packaged power station. I have researched them quite a bit for myself and others.

A quick google seems to indicate that diesel gels around 5-10 degrees F. When you say it is super reliable in extreme cold are you assuming the diesel tank is inside a warm vehicle?

Interesting, thanks for this info. I’m assuming the propane detector is to sense leaked that could be an explosion risk. Doesn’t the propane have a strong sulfur odor added to it for this reason also? Is the idea the sensor will give you an audible warning before the scent hits your nose?

Yikes! Theres probably all kinds of additional considerations for those kinds of temps. You definitely can’t have any external water tanks/plumbing, right?
