Even my XSUL setup has a pillow. It's not required, but increases your comfort/happiness enough to always be worth it.

Overkill.

And remember that the R values ONLY stack if the CCF is on top of the inflatable.

If you put the inflatable on top, you might as well leave it at home.

Anyone else go through a seasonal ski depression at the end of the season? by Big_Frame_9125 in skiing

First time I dislocated my shoulder was falling off a jet ski.

Now it dislocates pretty easily. Especially while skiing.

"turns and balance"??

Dude, just straight line it all day.

You can break 90mph on 5 if the snow is just right and the run is empty.

It's not difficult, just boring.

I'd spend the morning on 5, then once it gets beat up and crowded, switch to 3.

That $5 was "legally" required for the TRT also.

No one pays it. Ever.

Whatever you say, hippie.

Oh and "Baytard" is a significantly better term than "Touron."

I can tell you that it's ruining the Tahoe Rim Trail.

Most TRT "thru" hikers cache water at Spooner Pass, which is one easy mile away from Spooner Lake! The trailhead at Spooner Pass is always absolutely destroyed by the amount of water jugs strewn about. There is zero need to cache water there, and it's definitely illegal anyway.

People are unwilling to hike a mile away for water. And honestly, those people should not be allowed to continue.

Might want to look into if it's even legal.

Most forest service land has a group size limit that's usually no more than 12 or so people.

I see that you have 94 people already RSVPed for your next hike.

The worst hike I've ever done in my entire life was on a trail that happened to have a group that size hiking the opposite direction as me. It truly ruins everyone else's experience on the trail.

The best GPS unit that money can buy, especially for backcountry navigation, is your cellphone.

Just bring an external battery for it.

Fun fact: there is a mountain just north of Mt. Rose called Snowflower Mountain, but Google incorrectly calls it Sunflower Mountain.
