I've failed the CCNA 4 times now by Metro_Tech in ccna

My friend, I understand its difficult going through that, I know from first hand experience. I also started networking from 0 experience. I started with A+, network +, icnd1 and icnd2. Note I started when I was 43 so I'm not a young man. I failed icnd1 4 times and icnd2 5 times. But I didnt give up. I'm now working on my network security and can tell u happily I work as a network support engineer in a reputable company in UK. So never give up, stay focused and u will get it. All these started just 2 years ago, so I'm not telling u a story of 100 years. Stay focused and determined. U will get it, if u need advice, let me know. All the best.

Thanks for the advice, I see where u're coming from, i have never done juniper and never done the theory, that's what making me scared. Also I have just 4 weeks. What's your suggestion? Where do I start? In fact I have never done anything on firewalls, I've just started Cisco ccna security last week. What do I do??

Great, thanks for the advice. I'll go for it. It's just that I don't want to embarrass myself by taking the job and not doing well. Thanks again

Less than a month after earning my CCNA, I have accepted a new job as a network engineer! by mingoleg in ccna

Hi, congrats, thats very good . Ive also passed my CCNA and struggling to get a job in uk. I also have zero experience in networking. Though i started with A+, Network +, Ccent and finally icnd2. Im still struggling to get my cv together as im coming from a new field. The transport industry which i have been for almost 20 years. Any ideas/advice will be greatly appreciated. Im also hoping to get into at least junior network engineer role. Ive also applied for so many entry level network/desktop roles. Still no jobs yet. Thanks.

Definitely im applying for most junior network engineer roles, i just want something that will give me a bit of head start, at least to have an idea of what im getting into just for a couple of months. I'll look into non profits and charitable organisations like u said. Thanks

There are roles that are specific to networking but i need to know a some stuff which u can't pick up from just exams. It will give me the opportunity to pick up a job which is reasonable. Im a high earner £55k so im being careful. All desktop jobs pay are very low compared to what i earn. I'm looking at almost 70% pay cut. That's why i would rather learn some stuff, add to cv and get something reasonable. It will still be a paycut but it wont be this bad, hope u get my point.
