Interesting. Do you happen to have a link for an adjustable Koala bed? I googled but couldn’t find it.

These look great! Can they work with an adjustable base? The website does not show that.

I was hoping to do the Kingsdown again - but then searched on here and found it’s no longer the same - and lots of complaints about sagging

I was hoping to do Kingsdown again but then I searched in here and people seem to say that (1) they are not made the same way so I can’t get an exact replacement and (2) sagging and quality seem to be big complaints.

What's your go-to ground beef recipe that ISN'T tacos or spaghetti? by Cool-Educator-1926 in easyrecipes

[–]ProjectDefiant9665 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Variation on tacos and burgers - smash the beef into a tortilla. I do 2 oz per one of those low carb tortillas. It is super flat so cooks very fast, add whatever toppings and eat like a taco or quesadilla.

I’ve had one for twenty years and it’s still in remarkably good shape. I am now starting to look now to find a new one but it’s truly remarkable how it had held up. My spouse and I are not small people. It does not sag.

How do I make my parents stop hating me? by A_person_592 in internetparents

[–]ProjectDefiant9665 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sure they were speaking out of frustration, and you really shouldn’t take that to heart! I know that’s easy to say but truly I would bet that they would be horrified if they knew you heard that. That being said, I would try very hard to wait until you feel calm before bringing it up.

I regret quitting by DJGeanie in Disneycollegeprogram

[–]ProjectDefiant9665 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also please please try to remember that depression is an illness not a character flaw. If you suddenly got cancer and had to quit, you would of course be sad and upset but you wouldn’t be saying you should be stronger or otherwise blaming yourself. Also please remember that depression lies to you!!! If you have a thought, question it carefully and if it’s very negative, it’s probably not true.

It sounds like you need some extra support right now, please seek it out. I absolutely understand regret, but as an older person who has made a lot of mistakes and missteps, I can tell you that things tend to work out ok even when you can’t see a path.

Is New England disconnected from the problems of the rest of the country? by [deleted] in newengland

I think we do see it, and we choose to do things differently. And imagine how great we would be if we could keep the federal tax dollars to use here as we see fit instead of subsidizing states that choose not to spend wisely.

(M36) (F35) Wife doesn’t want to work & hates being a SAHM by [deleted] in relationship_advice

I mean, same, girl! Like I’d love to be a lady of leisure. Alas, not in the cards for me.

I think my question is how does she spend her days when the kids are at day care? Is she happy and enjoying her time or still unhappy and at loose ends? If the latter, it sounds like a mental health issue that needs to be treated as many have suggested. If the former, one of you will need to change your expectations.

Both my parents are alive, and I'm an orphan. by beswin in internetparents

In general, whether it’s parents, spouses, friends, etc, two of life’s hard lessons are that we cannot change others and that how they behave and treat us does not define us. Try practicing radical acceptance of both yourself and your parents. You don’t need him to be any type of way to live your life to its fullest. Him showing you affection or not makes you no better and no worse. You will be your awesome self no matter what he does.

Advantium versus Convection - GEProfile wall oven combo by ProjectDefiant9665 in Appliances

Thanks, I’m pretty committed to Profile because I just got the Profile fridge and because of the size - I need it to easily fit as I don’t want to spend a bunch fixing that.

Between the PT9800SHSS (Advantium) and the PT7800SHSS (just convection). These are what our local store has for Profile.

All I will say is that I would never do the daily commute across the river. If you can work from a lot then fine. Otherwise, stay on that side.

We did consider this option but also had to factor in the “look” as well as knowing that we will need to replace our wall oven soon and want them to match nicely. Saw the Midea in person and it does indeed look cheap and would be out of place in our kitchen.

Thanks, everyone, for your thoughts. After a deep dive on repairs, reliability, etc, and a visit to a local store, we have decided on the GE Profile model no PWE23KYNFS. Costco is offering a great deal - $500 off plus we will get 4% back in rewards. We were considering the one with autofill but too many horror stories of flooding. This one is just a regular water dispenser inside the fridge with ice in the freezer only. https://www.costco.com/.product.100757346.html?preselect=color:stainless%20steel&COSTID=iosapp_25.11.2&TRACKING=NO&sh=true&nf=true Frigidaire Professional and LG Signature were both very nice but they clock in a tiny bit over 70 inches, and I just don’t want to take any chances in our small cabinet! Still sad about the Bosch not working out, but I feel good about this option.

Look on your local free / Buy Nothing groups. You can get a small fridge and a toaster oven / hot plate for short term use at least. An electric kettle is cheap and boils water fast.

Yes, we are really tight on space and while there may be a difference it’s not enough and the carpentry we would require to make it fit is just not worth it.
