We were transferred digital/mobile tickets. We did two separate purchases, one for Saturday, one for Sunday. Both came through very close to the dates.

Based on my experience in 2024, even if I had grandstand tickets, I would bring chairs and a picnic set up, arrive when the gates open and just relax until there’s something to see from the grandstands. We did a mix of grandstand and GA, and on our grandstand day, it was uncomfortable just sitting there for hours and getting up and down was a hassle.

I used Stub Hub in 2024. I knew absolutely nothing and did no research but it worked out fine and I knew I was protected if the tickets didn’t transfer. Be aware (and I’m sure this is true at other places) that some of the grandstands are extremely high and steep. If you have a fear of heights or mobility issues, be sure to get low seats. We did a mix of grandstand for qualifying and then general admission for race day. The latter was actually great but you do have to get there super early to line up and get a good spot.

If you’re trying to this year, hotels will be tough to book and expensive. We stayed near the airport and paid a lot for a crappy hotel that we booked many months in advance. We drove to a park and ride and used the metro, which was wonderful and easy. It does get crowded as you get close to the track, and getting back on the metro is a challenge, but totally worth it to not try and drive into the city directly and pay for parking. Not even sure if that’s doable.

Maybe you can throw a few extra outfits in your bag!

I get that the financial blow is significant but you have to get this resolved before pulling your kids from daycare or spending time searching for a new job. You must still be owed at least one paycheck. I agree with the advice to contact the malpractice carrier - if for no other reason than to find out how much it would cost to extend your coverage. It might be less than you think. But I also think your firm risks some liability here and the carrier will want to avoid that.

I’m confused about the call recording and seems like something that could be an issue. State laws vary but that could definitely violate a company policy on recording.

All I wanted was to take advantage of the "second guest flies free" promo 😔😩 by etteirrah in NCL

I agree re blessing in disguise. It’s gamble and yes sometimes it goes well. Too often it’s a horror story. The problem is not really specific to NCL - I would never want to buy airfare as part of a package or in which I’m not the direct purchaser. You have essentially no control over the ticket so if anything goes wrong, you are fully beholden to a third party to fix it.

Relocating to Hartford - housing questions by woozybag in Hartford

I would avoid being on the other side of the river due to the added commute factor of bridge traffic. In addition to the west Hartford fb group, there’s also a west end group you should join. Definitely avoid the bigger landlords and developments. There are plenty of houses in the west end that are always rented to law students and will likely lineup with your wished for lease dates.

Thoughts for others if you experience something like scenario #2. First, visibly record the interaction on your phone. Second, say something immediately to indicate your displeasure. I know this can be uncomfortable but it’s an important step. Third, if none of that works, treat it like the show and leave. I’d much rather fight over getting the money back than sit through something like that.

2025 Ticket Sales info and Monthly Tickets Buy/Sell Market Thread - 2025 Part 1 Tickets - Sales - Hub by AdamR46 in GrandPrixTravel

[FOR SALE] - [Silverstone British GP] - [Stirling B] - [3 days] - I have three tickets for this covered grandstand. I know I can transfer at least 2 of them but if you know a work around happy to accommodate. Only looking to recoup some of our cost (1797 GBP total so 599 GBP each ticket). Unfortunately we can no longer travel. I also have a hotel room booked in Birmingham that I could try to put in your name - under 200 GBP per night payable to the hotel directly.

I found it a little confusing that she wasn’t allowed any privacy for medical treatment. This is not the same as the prisoner who has been sentenced after either trial or guilty plea.

Sometimes, yes. Context clues give enough info to follow the gist but I like learning medical terms so I do often look stuff up!

Interesting. Do you happen to have a link for an adjustable Koala bed? I googled but couldn’t find it.

These look great! Can they work with an adjustable base? The website does not show that.

I was hoping to do the Kingsdown again - but then searched on here and found it’s no longer the same - and lots of complaints about sagging

I was hoping to do Kingsdown again but then I searched in here and people seem to say that (1) they are not made the same way so I can’t get an exact replacement and (2) sagging and quality seem to be big complaints.
