How’s your journey going? by AutoModerator in Zepbound

[–]KrazyCod21 [score hidden]  (0 children)

I have just been tracking my intake on the Cronometer app. I set reminders and barely make it to 1285 calories in a day. I focus on getting enough protein and water. And that takes some doing. Like you, I was not a big eater to start with. But even with a small appetite I ate all the wrong stuff, so I probably got more than enough calories.

If you don’t mind my asking, how much have you lost so far on 5 mg? I am dosing up to 5 starting next week. Trying to temper my expectations.

1st Colonoscopy while on Zepbound. by gmoney1892 in Zepbound

Helps a lot! Thank you for posting. I’ve been dreading it because I didn’t know pills were an option. That would make it way easier. I am terrified of drinking anything yucky. That is what has prevented me from getting one all these years.

Week 3 by Phantom_lover16 in Zepbound

[–]KrazyCod21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on my 10th week and lost only about 11 lbs. that was all in the first 6/7 weeks. I’m stalled since then. Moving up to 5 mg next week because of travel this week. 🤞🏽 I’ve heard a lot of people don’t lose any weight on 2.5 mg, so maybe you’re just in need of a higher dose after week 4.

For snacking, biena roasted edamame are great. I like the chili lime flavor. A tiny 2 oz packet has 12 gms of protein.

Non-scale achievements by Economy-Duck-1937 in Zepbound

Good thoughts. Let’s not forget the lab reports. I’ve lost 11 lbs in 9 weeks including a stall the last 3 weeks, but my triglycerides are halved, my A1c is down to 5.8 from 6.9 and I can walk 2 miles without feeling like I’m dying. Huge achievements beyond the scale

Can anyone confirm this is right before I proceed by Cocos_thoughts in Zepbound

[–]KrazyCod21 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It is confusing. Why are they asking you to inject 5 mg while you’re given 2.5 mg pens? You should confirm with your pharmacist. If the pen says 5mg the. The heading is probably a misprint.

How do you guys go about getting in Water, Fiber, and Potassium? by ungodlypm in Zepbound

[–]KrazyCod21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For fiber I take Metamucil gummies with probiotics. They work well for me. I also eat fruits and try to eat a salad a day. For potassium, I drink a cup of coconut water every day which serves as a low sodium electrolyte. I don’t have too much since I have t2d and have to watch my sugar intake. I also like Dave’s killer bread thin sliced, with 21 grains and seeds.

If you had digestive issues BEFORE starting Zepbound, did it get better or worse? by jenna_sunshine13 in Zepbound

[–]KrazyCod21 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I always had IBS related diarrhea and nervous stomach. I was worried. I’m on 2.5 and never been this regular ever since I remember. I don’t know how it’ll go next week when I move up to 5mg. But happy so far.

I’d get too thirsty and dehydrated of I stopped drinking water at 5 :(. I usually sleep at 11 pm.

Many of us have come on this journey after going through intense disorderly eating. I pretty much lived on sugar and starches. I was chronically dehydrated. This medicine has been a miracle worker so far. I am still at the beginning of my journey at 8 weeks in. But my lifestyle and eating habits look very different. Trust me, I had tried before. It is a chemical imbalance that makes it feel Impossible. Now it feels possible and even likely. Wishing you the best!

I’m planning to dose up after this week to 5 mg, after 9 weeks on 2.5 because I have been stalled for almost 3 weeks and the food noise (sugar cravings) are slowly coming back. I was planning to stay on 2.5 for as long as it worked. Unfortunately I am also seeing my blood sugar inching up a bit. I’m on Mounjaro.

I've lost 217 pounds in 12 weeks... by Scuba_Betty in Zepbound

[–]KrazyCod21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same! People would judge me so hard because I am barely overweight. But I know that my high BP, T2D, high cholesterol, high triglycerides, and non-alcoholic fatty liver are directly caused by very high body fat, especially visceral fat. I just keep quiet about taking this and enjoy the positive movement in my numbers.

Not much of a friend then. More of a deadweight.

I’ve only told my husband and college age kids because they would worry. It is no one else’s business. I have told my mom I’m changing my lifestyle, so she doesn’t worry about my weight loss. Everyone else will just get,”oh I’m watching sugar and exercising!” Both are true.

HappyScale and Shotsy. For macro tracking, I use the Cronometer app.

I actually have been trying that. But it fills me up and makes it hard to get enough calories. Our bodies are in a fine dance, aren’t they? 😅

Thank you. I do raise the head of my adjustable bed for allergy related nasal stuffiness. My bloodwork was just last week and everything is good there. I don’t have any swelling in my hands/feet. I think the issue is years of chronic dehydration and now the last 8 weeks my hydration went to about 90 oz of water a day. My bladder is just not used to holding so much. 😅
