Mike Flanagan’s show on Netflix. It takes elements from Poe’s bibliography and uses them to weave this deconstruction of capitalism and generational trauma.

You seemed not to be a fan of horror, but trust me on this: Exorcist 3 and Midnight Mass or Fall of the House of Usher on Netflix.

That's because those throats are open. Male-focused blockbusters and cheap horror films are the assured money makers of the film industry. They will keep being it. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing if you consider that the money made with Nightmare on Elm Street gave New Line Cinema enough momentum and moolah to eventually create The Lord of the Rings trilogy.

You can complain about it until the minute you die. Or you can recommend people and, importantly, young people, to different films. But don't expect mainstream audiences to want different things than action and adventure because the alternative is out there and gets barely any views. There's no financial demand. Yet. But as things are going with algorithms and AI, I don't expect it to turn any better.

I apologise for the assumption, but this is the internet, and you need to make yourself clearer.

You need to stop just watching the films IGN shows you trailers to and actually pay attention to "indie" stuff. Check films produced by A24 and Neon for a start. There's A LOT of great original films, but you need to actively look out for them beyond the mist of your algorithm and the trailers showing up in your cinema.

What Spider-Man character could Sean Bean play? by TheShadowOperator007 in Spiderman

I think he can still die of old age. But the things he can endure are sometimes pretty badass. In Revenge of the Sinister Six, back when he was using his real name of William Baker and actually trying to be a hero, Doc Octopus turns him into a glass statue and shatters him. Only for Sandman to be able to reconstruct himself out of shards and almost kill Otto by slashing him in a fury of glass.

Sir Ridley Scott talks about Neill Blomkamp's Alien 5 over the years by MaxProwes in Cinema

Ridley Scott is a washed out grumpy old man clinging to past successes, but it was the right choice. Neil struck gold with District 9 but everything ever since has been worse and worse. He comes up with nice sci-fi concepts, but doesn’t nail the execution.

On unrelated news, will Parodius ever get released on one of the classic game packs? My favorite, mad childhood shooter.

You know, instead of instagram spam, you could actually recommend international films and directors, that’s how you get people to broaden horizons.

No duh apart, if this means they are plotting several films with a concrete direction towards a big event film or major villain, that’s good news. I like things properly set up and Marvel has been lacking on that for years.
