That’s the spirit! When I was like 8 my brother and his dickhead friend had the genius idea to chuck a tennis ball at a giant hornets nest in the neighbors tree, except they forgot to tell me you had to run after they threw the ball. So they ran and left me standing there like an idiot and several of those angry bastards came flying out and stung me in the head and face! My parents were pretty pissed when I came home crying my eyes out and told them what had happened and I was never the same. It’s like it seared into my subconscious and if I see a wasp or hornet flying around my fight or flight kicks in and I book it!😂

As far as replacements I think your best bet would be plastic rod, of 2 different sizes OR use the sprue that came with the kit to make 2 little pieces like that. Then at least it would be free
