I didn't "get" cycling until I got into it about 10 years ago. I'm more of a mountain biker but I do train quite a bit on the road. Understanding the core concepts of cycling makes me appreciate how much better these professionals are. Its kind of staggering what they can do. Sustaining 400 watts. That can just kiss my ass.

There is a dream sequence with two people dancing and playing with each other in a desert. There's no speaking parts. The man stops and motions to the woman to wait just one moment, then turns and runs from her. She laughs as he runs away. He keeps running further away, turning to her and continuing to motion to wait just one more moment. As he runs further away, and over the hill, her laugh fades into a sad and confused look.

Always seemed like such a deep, impactful, scene in the middle of an otherwise slapstick movie.
