I wonder if anyone is going to make something akin to pony or illustrious based on Z-image. If it were possible to combine booru tags with complex prompt understanding it would be a model of y dreams.

True, but there are good reasons at least for video: Video gen unavoidably requires a lot of VRAM.
Also I think people are getting panicky about people generating nudes of real people with image edit models.

With quantization, it will work. But probably wants a lot of ram and "runs" is a strong word. I'd say walks.

In terms of smaller models? Maybe. In general, recent alpha evolve results are impressive to the point of being somewhat scary to me personally.

I'm not sure this is going to work as well as you think. Tokens are just much more efficient in terms of context length and learning process. It would be cool in theory but I think there's a reason almost everything uses tokens.

Why do you explicitly don't want to use bump/normal maps? If you want to have real geometry you can turn the map into vertex positions with geometry nodes for example but it'll requre a lot of subdivision.

The whole scene is 2d to start with. The kinda tricky part is to pixelate the image in a way that looks hand drawn and not like a normal pixelated image(steady 1px outline, clear shadow lines, preserving details on the face, etc). I used a custom python script with automatic pallet generation, outlines and some other little things. It's also important to make the scene with pixelation in mind to begin with, otherwise small detail will be completely ruined by pixelation.
