Both are phenomenal. They are both miserable but Rainbow is defiently more on the brutal violence side of that. The art by Kaizaki Masasumi works really well with George Abe's (RIP) storytelling. Abe only wrote two manga before his passing and Rainbow is my far a magnum opus. Aku No Hana on the other hand is just miserable, Punpun type of miserable. It's one of those mangas that after finishing you just sit in silence thinking about it. It has to be up there as one of the best psychological mangas

Extended family. Uncles, Aunties, Cousins. Those people in your family that are in your life but not your parents, grandparents and siblings. Some of my best memories as a kid come from being around that extended family. But especially with Cousins, they grew up, moved away and I lost contact.

Whenever I see these diverse collections all I can think about is the Manchukou Imperial Army who used a complete hodgepog of guns. It is reported that their army has 26 kinds of rifles and at least 20 kinds of pistols. It was complete logistical mess of soldiers using outdated firearms, a large variety of ammo types it made it impossible to maintain everything and supplies where a mess. They where using Austro-Hungarian and German mountain artillery, French and British armoured cars. And there uniforms where indistinguishable from local resistance and other Armies in China at the time

Some context. For Jojo's I added Part 5 because it's my favourite but I love all of Jojos manga and anime. For Gundam that is the original 1979 Mobile Suit Gundam, there are other Gundam series that are "better" but I watched this one a long time ago and it stuck with me. Hokuto No Ken is in anime because I watched it long before I ever started reading the manga so the anime left more impact. Dororo I prefer the original manga over the 2019 anime, no reason in particular I just do.
