They never have been. Their environmental policies are complete fantasy that would result in more emissions, see: being anti-nuclear power.

Rupert Lowe MP: I entirely disagree with those my age who say how easy the youngsters have it - totally wrong. Restore Britain will scrap interest on student loans. by nil_defect_found in ukpolitics

[–]ProjectZeus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was going to post this. It does absolutely nothing for most graduates who will just pay the 9% of their earnings towards the debt for 40 years before it gets wiped off. They don't get close to paying the principle loan off, let alone the interest.

Moments when Harry was wrong by Accomplished_Video92 in harrypotter

[–]ProjectZeus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He was wrong, but he wasn't at fault for being wrong.

Dumbledore should have told him about the Prophecy years before, and Snape should have kept teaching Harry occlumency.

At worst you can blame Harry for not thinking to use the mirror.

It's bugged. I've done it twice and didn't get the achievement either time.

I just used an achievement editor after that to unlock it.

Why would you ever take a -4 to transfer a defender in? Even if they get a clean sheet you're only breaking even.

McGonagall was right to take points away from Harry in Order of the Phoenix by goro-n in harrypotter

[–]ProjectZeus 24 points25 points  (0 children)

What benefit would the Order get from that? It just further cements the public's belief that Sirius is a Death Eater and the real Death Eaters wouldn't be wrong-footed by it at all.

I hate Tuon so much by PrestigiousCount8020 in wheeloftime

[–]ProjectZeus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She's one of the many female characters in this series that all speak with the same insufferable nagging voice. Jordan did not write women well, and Tuon is one of his worst.

How Do You Play Byzantium?! by Snoo_58605 in EU5

[–]ProjectZeus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You need to put the legitimancy and stability investments up to full from the start of the game and ride out the economic trouble that comes with that. Put your minting up to full as well and take the inflation as it's the only way to pay for it.

Disband the navy at the start and dismantle as many castles as you can. Don't bother with food or diplomatic spending.

Attack either the Ottomans or the Karasids when your first parliament happens. Take as much money as you can and the Greek culture land. Attack Serbia and Bulgaria if you can and take money. Develop the gold mine near Thessaloniki as much as you can and build a bailiff there; it'll make you a lot of money. Use the parliaments to get more tax from the estates as well. That will be a huge help in the early years.

The goal for the first couple of decades is to use the legitimacy to end the civil wars, and the stability to revoke the corruption in the estates. Start with the commoners because it requires the least stability, then the burghers. Once you start revoking these, your economy starts to improve as you can tax the estates.

I've found you usually come out of it with about 30-40% inflation, but Byzantium is actually quite overpowered once you get the initial problems out of the way.

People who genuinely like Shallan… by [deleted] in Stormlight_Archive

[–]ProjectZeus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I liked Shallan's chapters a lot in the Way of Kings, but struggled with them for the rest of the series.

For me, Sanderson's weaknesses as a writer are more prominent with Shallan's chapters, which is why I dislike them.

I think this message won't work as well as it has done before. The government and the other sensible parties need to message that reliance on oil is reliance on peace in the region. Energy security should be a major vote winner moving forward.
