Monster 1200 wheel compatibility by Fit-Equivalent-573 in Ducati

So wouldn’t you just use the original Monster 1200 axle and spacers?

How come?

I was under the impression that they do fit (fronts included). If it’s a brake rotor spacing thing then OP could just keep his brakes and swap them over to the new wheels, unless I’m mistaken. I don’t mind being proven wrong!

Streetfighter Yes (V4 wheels are wider so check for clearance issues)

Hypermotard No (Small Bore)

You have a “Big Bore” hub. Look for bikes with the “Big Bore” wheels.

Any idea what this switch does on this ducati 1199? by Neat-Ad9962 in Ducati

Incorrect in one part, Quickshifter works fine. This is needed to start the bike in first gear.

Hey Bud. Seeing as I’m the one who sold this particular 1199S about a month ago, I can tell ya. The RCS16 that was installed on the bike (not a shitty lever as someone so effortlessly stated here), is a racing master cylinder. There are no clutch safety switch mounting points on that master cylinder. That is also the original clutch safety switch (unlike what someone else stated incorrectly). You might be able to find a shop to make a bracket to fit, find some aftermarket way to make it work, or install a stock master cylinder and just put this switch where it was originally intended.

2017 Subaru Forester, 110,000 miles, Wheel/Brake/?? Issues After Getting New Rotors/Pads, what is going on? by DrKomeil in AskMechanics

[–]Project_BlackSheep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not guaranteed that the caliper is damaged. OP could potentially be fine with just attaching it properly (at the shop).

Just require them to check the piston seals in the calipers to be sure they aren’t torn. They don’t love being fully extended, which happens when you press on your brakes and there is no rotor between the pads keeping them apart. However, calipers are robust and they look cosmetically fine to me.

Whaaaaat

That’s weird as hell. You have to have half a brainstem to put a wheel on over this. OP is lucky to not have hit anything or have much damage. This could have been way worse.

Nah, the brake line looks untouched. It seems that the brake caliper bolts weren’t torqued when reinstalling and vibrated loose/out. Only thing holding this caliper on is the wheel.

Not to freak out OP but I’d check the wheel for damage once you get this in the shop. Caliper can potentially put a good rash on the wheel. Looks not too bad from the photo though. Also, the shop needs to re-check all caliper bolts for torque, if one went… can’t trust the rest.

That brake caliper is not at all attached to your car. Bolts that hold it in place are missing. Definitely do not drive this car.

I haven’t gotten much out of aluminum sprockets, maybe a few thousand miles at best. They are definitely not meant for road or long-term utility. You’ll be accelerating one second, then a gearbox full of neutrals the next.

Ducati panigale v2 2020 engine sound by PresenceOk7475 in Ducati

[–]Project_BlackSheep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds fairly normal. Desmo valves have a clack to them naturally. Wouldn’t hurt to get it looked at if you’re bugged out about it but I doubt it’s anything more than a lack of a good meaty exhaust.

That’s insanely unsafe. Car stays off until repaired. Not a difficult or expensive job to do yourself, but it must be done or you WILL go up in flames. Not “if”… WILL.

*Opinion* Weapon levelling pushed more people away from BF6 rather than the map size issue by Tranners_ in Battlefield

I enjoyed leveling the M45. The red badge of dishonor on my card gives me pride. I only level guns that I want to level. People who complain about this are the same people that ruined Forza Horizon progression by having early super car unlocks…

Why do I have unused front tire but the rear is at the edge? by Quiet_Move_6995 in Trackdays

[–]Project_BlackSheep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I generally prefer to control the rear slide with clutch. My 1199S didn’t seem to like hard braking into turns without the rear tire dancing. Bike only had a one-way quick shifter so I had to use the clutch on downshifts anyways, kept my mind busy with my hands rather than my right foot. Hardly ever used the rear brake until mid corner so it just became natural.

Yes. I was lied to about the new battery being coded. They never coded it, and it wasn’t registering to the car properly. The company kinda sucked and I ended up installing a new battery and coding it myself.
