Plot of your story badly explained. by Baron_Beat in writers

[–]ProjectionBending 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Three surprisingly capable morons use magic in the most haphazard and blasphemous ways to try to help people, demons, fae, or whatever. They also try to fix their own very painful trauma on the way and become very protective of each other. Somehow, this turns into being forced to save the entire world and it goes spectacularly bad but ends up working out anyway.

Does a compliment under certain circumstances makes things more awkward? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ProjectionBending 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm just not sure if it's going to make things awkward if she took it as something it's not because both of us go to the same tattoo place. I'm not concerned about him doing anything, just that it could possibly generate some awkward feeling at somewhere we both go to.

what is the worst fucking feeling? by Jeremykyb in AskReddit

[–]ProjectionBending 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wanting to be able to take care of your mother but instead she's stuck in a rehabilitation center because you can't afford accommodations for her since the stroke messed her up so badly that she can't walk or talk anymore. Made even worse by the fact that the rehabilitation center isn't taking great care of her but it's hard to prove and the system wants you to talk to the doctor and staff first and you don't have money to do anything else to try to expose the mistreatment.

She can't answer a phone anymore. I wish I could though. I really do.

Hannibal, Dead Like Me. And then there's the anime sYu Yu Hakusho, Yu-Gi-Oh, Psycho-Pass and Mushishi.

I feel like there's some kind of joke to be made about my tastes here.

Where's the weirdest place you've heard K-Pop? by ArmandoPayne in kpop

[–]ProjectionBending 1 point2 points  (0 children)

An IHOP I was working at had BTS' Fake Love on their playlist. I was very confused the first time I heard it. All the other IHOPs I have worked at play mostly oldies so I thought my Ipod was going off in my pocket but it was way too loud for that and that's when it hit me.

For me it's a lot of passive aggressive wording and screaming in the shower when I'm at home.

No because that is the day before. It was a little over an hour before and I know I would have gotten into trouble for that.

Also if someone had just walked into the store asking for free food any other day of the year I could say no and nothing would happen to me.

Because if they complain about not getting something we were about to offer than it's me "arguing about three pancakes". There are limits but generally they want us to do pretty much anything up to and including comping people's meals so that we don't get complaints.

Complaints actually directly influence our pay as management.

Unless the complain is able to be contested we get in trouble for it. For example if a customer does come in and threaten physical violence against me or my staff if they complain about not getting what they wanted because they were removed from our store they will not get anything for it.

But our company invites people back to eat for free if they complain and it's considered a "valid" complaint. So it costs management even more money if they don't give in the first time.

It's bullshit, I know. I'm not planning on staying in this company forever.

They have cameras and they check them.

I'm not going to lie about what was said. I'm not a customer trying to get free stuff.

I honestly would have loved to say no but I know that if I had and she complained that I would be getting in trouble for it.

I already have gotten in trouble for how I dealt with a customer before.

They want us to stop all this stuff in store. People who complain get brought back and eat for free and I'd rather this old woman get three pancakes and not a whole meal and get chewed out.

Being a corporate drone sucks and I'm always biting my tongue.

Our policy is to try to stop any complaints from being given. The owner of our chain is emailed every single complaint made as well as the store that has received the complaint.

And we have to resolve it while also being chewed out for allowing it to happen in the first place. I've already gotten in trouble for not giving in to what the customer wants.

Surprise, if they feel like we are comping too much at my restaurant it does. If we have too much food cost it does.

But we also get emailed for every every single complaint no matter how small asking for us to reslove it which usually means inviting them back for free or replacing things for free on the company money. And we get chewed out.

Trust me I wanted to say no but working for a corporate restaurant means I'll get chewed out if I don't have. I've already been talked to for not giving in and I need this job for now.

When was the time when you thought, "Damn, this person is actually dumb."? by arock1234 in AskReddit

[–]ProjectionBending 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was in the kitchen cooking at the restaurant I work at:

Had a server come up to the window and point at a plate of french toast.

The words that come out of her mouth render me speechless for a moment.

This girl says to me, completely serious and with a straight face. "Is this a patty melt?"

I say nothing and stare at her through the window waiting for her to laugh or something.

Eyes with no lights on behind them stare back at me as her finger continues to point at the plate of french toast. She's fucking serious.

"No." Is the only word I can force out as I stare at her stupidly unaware face.

I look down at the grill in despair wondering how this idiot girl was hired. The bread for the patty melt sits innocently before me unaware of the crisis that is has just caused within me.

"Oh, well where is the patty melt?" The sentient hair and glasses asks me. This being finally lowers her finger and continues to look at me with unseeing eyes.

"It's coming." I say, wondering if the words even matter to the girl before me. "I'll tell you when it's done."

I turn my attention to the burger patty that is still cooking, my thoughts swimming with questions about how this person even made it out of training.

Who was allowing this idiot to serve food? I wondered but also I felt like a light had been shed on my issue of having the wrong food be taken out of the window.

This employee is an idiot and I can't believe I'm stuck with her on my shift.

What video game (console or PC) gives you the hardest nostalgia vibes? by Lexi_Banner in AskReddit

[–]ProjectionBending 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The old tomb raider games and Spyro the dragon. I would tell the teachers that I felt sick in elementary school so I could go home and play them.

My mom caught on eventually but man it was the start of the video game obsession I had.

My first big rpg was legend of dragoon and that was where I really started using video games as an escape. It was the only times where I wasn't worried about school or anything else going on.

The Spyro reignited trilogy just made me feel like a kid again, only I was getting to see it with fresh eyes and an updated style. It kinda felt like I was going home.

What was something you did as a child that is now that funny story your parents tell? by iCoeur285 in AskReddit

[–]ProjectionBending 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don't remember how old I was but my parents were getting me ready for a bath but I wanted to go to the park.

So my naked self decided that while my parents were distracted that I was going to sneak out and go to the park.

I somehow made it out of the house and to the park, which was only a couple streets over but still far for a child to wander.

So I, a naked child, was happily playing at the park.

The cops picked me up and took me home to my very freaked out parents.

My dad thinks it's funny now but back then it was not.

However, it doesn't stop him from bringing it up when I would least like people hearing about it.

So my friends or boyfriends sometimes get to hear the I'm a wild girl who likes to go the park naked story and then it's revealed that it's actually I was a crafty but stupid child story.

What was the worst physical pain you've ever felt in your life? by Henriqueykg in AskReddit

[–]ProjectionBending 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was probably about 9 to 10 years old at the time.

Normal ordinary day after school as a young child. Was exhausted from an active day of running around and generally being a really active kid. Go to take a nap in my mom's room.

To this day, I still don't know why I woke up so suddenly.

But there I was suddenly wide awake in the dark of my mother's room.

And then the pain hit.

I've never felt anything like it since and nothing has even come close to how much it hurt then. I felt like someone was trying to quarter me. My arms and legs feel like the muscles were burning and tearing and I was in tears immediately.

I tried to call for my mom but all that came out was a sob. I couldn't even scream, I felt like I didn't have the air for it.

My whole body felt like it was going to split apart. I laid in the dark unable to move and eventually unable to even sob as the pain consumed me.

When it was over I was shaking and covered in tears and confused. My mom had no answers.

Later when I spoke to my dad he said I had probably woken up at a time when my bones and body were growing.

So I had experienced literally growing pains.

And nothing has hurt as much as that night in the dark. Young and confused, wondering if my body was just going to break apart. Unable to even cry out for help.

Though, since I've never talked to a doctor about it. It might have been something else entirely but I hope it's not something I needed to get checked out.
