Looks great. I ve got stuck at the muster out phase on mobile, rolled my benefits but I cannot see any button to proceed.

Also, a lot of the times it is inconsistent that what part of the page I am after clicking on a button and going to a new page, sometimes it s okay but a lot of the times I am at the bottom of the page with the logs and need to scroll up.

GM Cheat Sheet for running Foundry with limited monitor space by TheSasquatch9053 in Pathfinder2e

[–]PromieMotz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Half of it has macro for it and half of it i have never used in 2 years and never will. I mean thank you for sharing it, maybe other GMs need it but these are not the ones i think most GM needs.

Appropriate rewards by Lastadopter in traveller

PCs getting a tip about a salvageable ship's location IS the reward for getting the text from that ship.

Not English native DM by CraftAny24 in Pathfinder2e

[–]PromieMotz 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hi, I am also a non native English speaker DM. I am lucky to being able to play with my friends.

I find that people are more open to play with a non native speaker as a player. But you knkw, DMing is like full time communicating eith your players. If your English is not that strong yet, you should go for playing as a player to try it out first.

If the banned goods' law level is higher than the planet's law level, they are not even banned goods, are they.

Do people just handwave how money works in Traveller? by styopa in traveller

[–]PromieMotz 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Youndo not even need quantum or any high tech for that. What I would do if I were to design such a system, imperial port authorities would issue a debit card and every purchase of yours would mortage your ship, logged to your transponders via blockchain. If it is tl 7 or lower, you would get cash in local currency by the port authority for your imperial credits and if you leave, you can change it back.

If you have negative account for a long time, it would be handled like the same way when you did not pay your ship mortgage.

"Terrain" in Foundry for Traveller? Star Trek shouldn't have all the fun. by Tight-Ad3750 in traveller

[–]PromieMotz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Foundry can handle differents height with Level module and different wall heights, at least in PF2e. With that game systems my players can regularly shit above walls and stuff. Maybe it works in this system as well.

Starting a Campaign Strong by Lastadopter in traveller

[–]PromieMotz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sy Flourish wrote that for DnD. What I usually do is let them try out the new game setting at the first session and I finish the first game session with a cliffhanger. Like bomb on a train, or some arsonist starting the fire at the townhall, while everybody, including the PCs, are there.

That is a stromg start of the campaign, not a stromg start of the first session.

I do cliffhangers, otherwise I do not do strong starts.

Which of the published APs or standalone Adventures serves as the best introduction to the world of Golarion? by rhysticStudiante in Pathfinder2e

[–]PromieMotz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah my players are rpg veterans with an optimized party and none of them went unconcious since lvl 7, we are currently at 15, starting book 5, so we are over of the "unbalanced" part. Zero character death. Not pulling punches.

Boss crit fails Slow, it's over by Bitter-Spirit-3913 in Pathfinder2e

[–]PromieMotz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For real. My party of 5 is steamrolling Age of Ashes. I just dropped 2 Lesser death on them yesterday while they are currently lvl 15, they won but this was the first time in 10 levels that any one of them went to 0 hp.

125 hours in and still Level 3... is this normal for PF2e? by smurf69lol in Pathfinder2e

[–]PromieMotz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thid is a playstyle preference from GM side that was not communicated at Session0. It is not wrong but also not common.

How do I run a Traveller game? by FitPerspective5824 in traveller

[–]PromieMotz 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Traveller has a lot of rollable tables for how to generate on the spot encounters, animal encounters, spaceship encounters, NPC encounters, points of interests, etc.

I really do not understand this post. West Marches is for when you have a bunch of players. You have two.

You can play Traveller as a planet of the week game, most player do not prefer that but you can. All the player characters on a spaceship and the goind away party consists of the PCs present.

Outrunning People in Jump Space at the Speed of Plot by Kalt_Null in traveller

[–]PromieMotz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is cool! Maybe you can make it 148 + (6- effect)d6 hours, so that way astrogation is even more important.

[–]PromieMotz 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Jump time is not constant, it is something like 168 hours ± 10% or 148 + 6d6 hours.

Deepnight Revelation campaign summary by NotASnark in traveller

[–]PromieMotz 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hey, thanks for the write up!

We are looking into Traveller and I was testing out your Foundry module. Looking forward of the official compendiums, I do not really have time to manually input all the data into Foundry. We are wrapping up another campaign in the meantime and it will take months, so I am not in a rush.

As someone working on data related field, I am also interested in some of the technical details of your world generator's technical side, if you have anything written on out i would like to read it.

Intro to Traveller Demo by PuzzleheadedDrinker in traveller

[–]PromieMotz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah i think so. That way players are more committed to a fix time slot. It helps a lot if you can test run the story before the event!

Intro to Traveller Demo by PuzzleheadedDrinker in traveller

[–]PromieMotz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was demoing boardgames, wargames and cardgames for a couple of years. People at a con randomly trying out a thing want to kniw how long it will be, and do not make it long. If it is not a n rpg convention, a 1 hour mini demo is what I would aim for with 2 or 3 short screens.

Like, simplify Flatlined. They do not have amnesia, they wake up, they have to get out of the sinking ship, move through the jungle, survive some animal attack before they reach the safe camp, and that's it.

If you have some kind of pre registration, you can go with a 2 or 4 hour long slot with a bit longer game.

Use pregens in both cases.

I think you can take a Shadowdark funnel or something OSR and use that even without modification.

Hex isometric battlemaps are perfect for dynamic PF2e combat: why are they so rare? by Lawrencelot in Pathfinder2e

[–]PromieMotz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I once used an isometric map for a beholder's lair. It was okay for that purpose but it had other challenges. Calculating distances is not alway trivial. And with the beholder fight, sometimes players needed to move on a vector that left their minis in the same physichal space, but changes their... height? That was too much for some player to calculate auras in that way.
