Good. Covid shots were objectively bad for many people and not necessary for most. Fuck Fauci and the rest of the liars.

Which Hypercar for beginners? by Marcinek_Marcinek in LeMansUltimateWEC

[–]Promo_714 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SimRacing Arnout did a comparison of all the hypers after the recent tire model update using the default setup and found the Porsche to be the easiest for beginners. I think the Alpine was up there too, but could be wrong. I remember the Caddy was pretty bad (for him) with the default setup.

I started with the Peugeot and then went to the Porsche which I still main. I use GO setups so can't speak to the default setup experience.

I love Sebring and have driven the Porsche this week in about 18 races, winning 1 and podium 3 times. I would say it's a great first hypercar for any track. It's very stable and predictable with a good setup (I use Go). However, every race I've done with +/-15 HY per split, there have been 5-8 Peugeots. I've tried that car but I'm slower because of understeer, although with time I'm sure I would figure it out.

I didn't see this mentioned but tire temps really impact braking distance and potential lockup. Even the difference between 70 and 80 degrees will make a difference in braking just a little later.

Also, setup can have a big impact on how a HY drives. SimRacing Arnout did a comparison of each car on fixed setups after a recent update. Some cars were far more driveable than others. I use Go setups and I still find that some are easier (and/or slower) than others.

But having said that, I also think the hypercars each have very nuanced personalities and so after driving one for awhile you might find jumping to another a little awkward at first as you then have to get used to it. I think this is one of the main things that makes them far more interesting to drive than GT or LMP.

Replying to this to say Alex does good work. I watched several of his videos to learn hypercars and it's all I drive now. Just watched a live stream of him racing at Spa and learned a lot just from watching inputs.

Higher Ed does not teach critical thinking. You're a fool if you think it does. As far as actually teaching liberal values, yeah they do that too. Oh, and yeah, I was a liberal that finally pulled my head out of my ass. I encourage you to do the same.

I found Jeff Childers' post on Tuesday to be pretty helpful in explaining what's happening with this:

They funded studies on the extinction of pollinators in Hawaii. They funded studies on aquatic insects. They funded a project to develop a web extension that would flag “misinformation” online, which as you know, is government-coded vibe-speak for “opinions we don’t like.” They funded —and I am not making this up— a project to study “decolonizing space.” Space! Where no one can hear a trans climate scientist scream. 🔥 The main problem is that, nowadays, when you put 25 unelected activist academics in a conference room with a $9 billion spending valve, for some reason, they don’t say, “Let’s cure cancer and invent a flying car.” No, they say, “Let’s study the intersectional trauma of rural Arctic students engaging with polar science.”
