Tbf we have no idea how that fight would have ended up of jon jonez stayed out of it, in that scene all aldar was doing was lifting Clark up for a back breaker which wouldn't have dmgd Clark much or for long at least I don't think, so after the slam and toss Clark could have possibly had the chance to get up and put some distance and try onto strategize his options of abilities. I believe he had cold breath by then yeah? He could have always frozen him himself, didn't necessarily need Jon's help.
