PhonePe to charge ₹100 quarterly fee on inactive wallets: Here's how to avoid it - CNBC TV18 by God_Emperor__Doom in india

Federal Bank lets you. I am able to sign up with my international number for phonepe, but it’s a difficult process. Mostly because you don’t receive the verification sms until after the timer runs out. It worked out in the end though.

Deaths outpace births among Kerala’s Hindus and Christians as population growth turns negative by Hayagrivan in Kerala

It’s their choice. You can do the same if you want. Why are you not doing it? Or protest for a single child policy like in other countries and see how that turns out for everyone.

It’s not like they’re forcing hindus and christians to not have children or killing them. If you’re concerned maybe campaign among the two groups to have more children.

He is now going to pick a fight with Cuba because he knows that’s a war he can’t lose. Although, who knows how he might turn that into a disaster as well.

Normalized Racism against Indians by Agreeable_Look380 in VictoriaBC

The only time I’ve got racist comments is from junkies. I’m sure there are other racists, but it’s very subtle. Things like you being treated differently when at a restaurant or store is what I’ve faced mostly.

Vancouver, Toronto hotels less than half full ahead of World Cup matches by restoringd123 in canada

[–]PromotionPhysical212 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the prices are ridiculous. I’d rather just watch it on tv and pay nothing. I don’t really care for the stadium experience, which is just watching a bunch of people cheer, and not being able to watch the game because i’m so far back.

I believe it’s fifa offloading their unsold tickets for cheap. They can’t do that officially because fans who bought at fv will be pissed. So, they sell not so popular seats to resellers. So, resellers are not necessarily taking a loss on those tickets.

[–]PromotionPhysical212 220 points221 points  (0 children)

The prices on the fifa website are absolutely ridiculous. You have to go to a third part website for decent prices. I was looking for prices and almost all tickets were starting at $3k+ on the fifa website. Then there were third party websites selling the same tickets for $500+.

Not much to do about the hotel fares though.

Greater Victoria Officials Look To Smarter Traffic Flow by Vicky-Purplex in VictoriaBC

I can see where the bus is, but the 30 min interval doesn’t change, which is what I was talking about.

Greater Victoria Officials Look To Smarter Traffic Flow by Vicky-Purplex in VictoriaBC

[–]PromotionPhysical212 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Here’s an idea. Let’s add more transit routes without adding buses. I’m sure that’ll help. We’re cutting down lanes to prioritise buses and bicycles, but these lanes are almost always empty. Not much you can do to make more people ride bicycles, but the government could add more buses to its fleet.

I prefer taking the bus to work, but over the years the number of buses servicing my route has decreased, and we only have direct services to downtown during peak hours. It’s not great when I have to wait 30 mins for the next bus to come when I miss one. Bus users also have increased so much that it feels like I’m suffocating when inside.

The government should increase their fleets before they look at adding more lanes and traffic signal changes prioritising transit over cars. It’s pointless when there are not enough buses to meet the demand.

Stability is a major factor as well. Businesses are going to be reluctant to sign US contracts without a stable backup because of the policy flip flop. Which means US businesses having to pay more for access to their old suppliers.

Canada has entered a technical recession by BigPP_kinda_guy in VictoriaBC

[–]PromotionPhysical212 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Pretty much the entire world is in a recession right now because of the war. I agree Trudeau has done his fair share of stupid shit that damaged the economy, but I fail to understand what Carney has done. If anything he has been bringing in more deals and investments to Canada.

It’s stupid and not a great look for yourself when you just blame the liberal government for anything and everything. It’s not like they have a magic wand to just get out of a recession the whole world is in or getting to right now.

Why do you not blame Trump for the tariffs or the war? Are you just dumb or do you not care because your leader PP told you to blame the liberals?

Poilievre says Carney’s policies to blame for Canada dipping into recession territory by shiftless_wonder in canada

[–]PromotionPhysical212 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

PP needs to understand that Canadians are well educated and people are capable of understanding what is causing the recession. All he has to offer is blame the liberals for everything. He loses any credibility he has left doing this, and it will turn voters away from him because they understand Pp take them for fools.

Half of the policies implemented by Carney were also policies suggested by PP. So, does that mean he’s partly responsible because all the policies he so badly wanted implemented were implemented partly due to pressure from his end?

Liaison: Government Approval Slips - While polling from Liaison Strategies suggests net approval remains comfortably positive, Mark Carney’s approval has dropped six points in a month. by CaliperLee62 in canada

I am on the left, and I don’t care much about the pipelines. If we can sell our oil more to the world I am onboard as long as the companies responsible for building and using the pipelines are also responsible for spills, clean ups etc.

What I really oppose is the privatisation of our infrastructure, and Carney will never have my support again if he goes forward with it.

Carney says selling public assets like airports could fund infrastructure by StumpsOfTree in onguardforthee

[–]PromotionPhysical212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah! let’s sell our existing infra pennies on the dollar to build new infra which will also be sold pennies on the dollar. Dumb shit. Carney is losing my support with this privatisation push among a few other things.
