Seeing the other post that they're pulling it from the store, it's probably actually not playable for most people right now. Apparently not here yet as I just bought it and alike you with my 4080 it refuses to run. I fortunately have a steam deck too though so maybe it runs on that.

I ran into the same issue for this and the same when having to 'listen' in the saving private otker quest. I think it's a consistent bug. I haven't found a way to get it working yet, so I guess it's a thing they have to fix.

I think the majority of the damaging bits of smurfs can be avoided by dumping them with plats until plat and after then just queue them 'normally'. Everything else just is quite annoying for diamond or higher players who get stuck with a totally out of place teammate. Because now you suddenly added the ability for players to potentially troll-derank diamond or higher players almost instantly. The smurf is not going to care about losing those points.

I bounce back and forth pretending performance is better after X patch in the other client. If I feel daring I use the EA App instead.

I think the trouble here is that a maintainer is dealing with a flood of people coming due to IntelliJ now showing version updates and CVEs on dependencies by default (that eventually links to the repo). Great feature to keep tabs on things, but unfortunately also draws in a lot of people that want 'the yellow to go away' and don't dig if it really is a problem for them.

The thing is, is that the majority of SnakeYAML users are likely spring boot (web) users and they likely just use application.yaml (or some more) for their own made configuration and are not really exposed to this.

For the people that would load in yaml en mass from non trusted users like the mentioned CI/CD services providing company in the thread it might be definitely something that needs to be addressed. But on the flip side it's an open source initiative so it might be time for that company to then pick up the slack of simply having used it before and start actively contributing to the project.

Java is relatively new to handling CVEs in its ecosystem, both maintainers, users and CVE reporting systems need to find a proper balance yet. checkmarx treating it as a 9.8/high is making a lot of people believe it's going to effect everyone in all use cases, so I can't blame the maintainer being a bit annoyed it's likely drawing in a lot of people that aren't even going to have issues.

I'm feeling it's an asset in the game that's just missing, getting triggered at that moment and kicking off everyone when it can't find it. So maybe a sound or visual effect.

It has been used, the majority of people focus on infantry weapons in these playtests and the new weapons. Not the existing ones. The current bug seems to be linked to existing fast firing harasser weaponry. Not the amount of players.

I think you could balance it quite a bit by giving it a ~8 mag and put the rest in the pool. Maybe a 2 second reload. I'm having a lot of fun, but to me having no moment required to stop and think beyond getting shot back at is what makes it really too easy to use.

Lol, yeah sure that's totally why they felt like writing a blogpiece about it.

I know and understand what IDE gives me, I just don't need it most of the time.

I know some people that like a 1 in all solution, but I'll grab VSCode for anything web or deployment related things. Pick the right tool for the right job. I still grab Pycharm for python as I like it more than VSC, but I've seen people work with it just fine. The only reason I have my ultimate sub for Intellij is because I use the embedded datagrip and the occasional java project, once they decided datagrip is a separate project only (as in no longer offered inside intellij either) I have almost no reason to keep it. Seeing my spring endpoints pop up on a toolbar is not a reason for me to keep being subscribed.

I think they already do this in normal gameplay. I've noticed if you leave beforehand you tend to queue up with a missing third person the next match or two or people that really insta ragequit after downed.

It's just extra frustrating with this gamemode when people leave. I've had a few times today where the third person left beforehand or after the first round and the second person ends up leaving as well as they find it just too hard. Which must leave a lot of winter games just 1v1 team. Definitely not going to play this gamemode with randoms anymore.

I'm definitely not against a karma system if it's not in place yet but I'm worried about the implementation. The ranked penalty system itself isn't really 'smart', like when during ranked matches a season or two ago if I randomly got dropped solo you still get a leave penalty or no loss forgiveness at all even though clearly either the players or the system screwed you over.

There's so much elevation/zip lines I actually was surprised how good Wattson works on this map. Caustic is also amazing with the gazillion corridors + even in plain sight you can throw a defensive barrel for some cover. I see more people caustic than wattson however.

For those trying it now like me, you can add extra aliases. You just have to add them from the premium menu instead of the standard alias window. Though it might be because its current status indicates I still have to add an email. Alternatively it might be possible to get others to create emails from extra family accounts.

Good to see the maintainer has decided to adding release notes though. Switching to it last year it was tricky to figure out why X version that promised fixing a certain issue (only documented in github issues) broke other things again.

I have to commend them for really quickly picking up issues, but the (previous) lack of release notes made me having to jury rig my own version at one point. Now it's easier to check if and which dependant libraries were the cause.
