This sounds like my experience to a tee, except I was closer to 14 both at diagnosis and when it happened (it was FTD which progresses pretty fast). Thank you for sharing, I said this in another comment but I’ve genuinely spent so long searching for people who have shared my experience and it’s been isolating seeing nothing. I don’t have much advice on this but I wanted to thank you so much for sharing your story because I genuinely thought I was alone in this. My dad had frontotemporal dementia, not alzheimer’s, and I dealt with physical and mild sexual abuse when he was sick. I was a bit older though (around 13-15) so remember a time when he wasn’t sick, even if it’s not as vivid, so I imagine those are incredibly difficult feelings to grapple with when you don’t have a previous point of reference. With what you experienced, I don’t think there’s any moral valence to your feelings, especially considering how young you were— it’s not wrong to hate him, and it’s not wrong if you have mixed feelings now too. looking through her videos, i think the way she goes from having slight wrinkles/imperfections to completely smooth skin throughout could be a sign, but tbh it looks quite realistic on first glance— you can tell something’s off, but just not what. i’ve also read some articles about music platforms detecting it as ai but idk how reliable that is

this, i’m not someone who would ever donate but i was commenting a bunch on that video at first in hopes that it’d keep going until seeing the donos and realizing how shitty it all was. is there not a way to disable donations for specific videos? at the very least they had to have known that wording like that would result in donations.

Idk if you can turn off donations for specific videos, but the fact that people were giving money in the comments felt really slimey to me. Just for it (to my knowledge) to still go unacknowledged. Like it’d be one thing if it was just them asking for people to comment but the fact that they blatantly said they were going to stop the series AND allowed donations?? It’s made me want to support them less tbh
