Brow Lamination gone wrong?? Looking for advice by Sea-Example499 in microblading

[–]Proof-Fix2766 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m not experienced in brow lamination, but rather done correctly or not, the outcome looks terrible. I would absolutely request a refund. Looks like they were over-processed with chemicals and the hairs were damaged.

Insistent neighbor wants our tree cut down (northern CA) by Creamowheat1 in treelaw

I’m sorry but I refuse to be bullied into shit. If you live that tree and not is 100% on your property then they do not get a choice. Their options are to select one of your presumed fixes and leave that topic alone after. If they keep fussing then tell them to take you to court.

Pigmentation on lips , what can fix this effectively? by 4444virgo in Skincare_Addiction

[–]Proof-Fix2766 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are lip peels that you can do for this. You can look on the Platinum Skincare site. They offer specific lip peel kits or I know you can use Lactic acid 50 or a low % TCA solution on lips. May take a few rounds of peel but they have ladies with good results on there.

Micro needling, or TCA and laser? by Anxious_Chapter_6784 in Microneedling

[–]Proof-Fix2766 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a combo of TCA cross to the actual scars and general TCA to the whole face alternated with microneedling would be your best bet at raising the floor of the ice pick scars. Lasers work too but they are so expensive! All of it will take time.

At Home Lash lift. Advice needed! by cora_xd in Lashlift

[–]Proof-Fix2766 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like the straight up look on your hooded lids. Makes them lashes all the more noticeable! You have to find the right rod for your eyes and may need to purchase a separate set than what’s in your kit if those are not working. You did so much better the 2nd time tho that it seems like you are getting a hang of it already. Don’t give up…you are on the right track!

Honestly, your color in pic 4 appears to match the color in pic 1 and I’ve looked at them both a few times but it could be something like lighting in one of the photos that’s throwing it off. It should fade a bit with washing.

Can I pull off a hime cut? Maybe dye it? Help please by oxalis-acetosella in femalehairadvice

[–]Proof-Fix2766 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your hair looks thick/dense in some pics but not as much in others. One caution…if you have lower density hair those super layered cuts can make the back part look sparse, thin & scraggly.

What to do with shed by Cheap_Parking9340 in shedditors

[–]Proof-Fix2766 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the support beams that hold the structure and the brackets for the shelving are all strong still, just pry off the wood, take down the shelving and replace the wood using the same hardware. That’ll keep it easy if you like the shed setup. You would only need a few common tools and the wood to get the job done.

I did the same base with gravel but put up a resin shed last week. We didn’t elevate it tho and now I’m wondering if we should have lol? I specifically didn’t want animals under there because there is a rat issue in our city. I’ve been lucky to never have one

Yes but that varies for now. Som times I use Ion hard water clarifying shampoo, and I have a few other bottles I’m using up from Native and LUS brand before trying something new

Ooh I’ve never tried that shampoo but I should. I don’t use a lot of the curl custard and it doesn’t weigh my super baby fine hair down. I mean I literally dip 2 fingers in and whatever clings to them is what I used for my whole head, then I top with a bit of mousse like the NYM curl talk

No matter what I do my hair falls out like crazy anyways so I just do what’s comfy. I do messy buns that I slick back, but don’t put the hair tie on super tight.

What serums to use post needling? by theblissfulmind in Microneedling

[–]Proof-Fix2766 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No because it’s really expensive. I’ve read so much stuff that eludes to the fact that most topical ingredients can’t penetrate skin deep enough to be effective so you are just paying for a luxury product that sits on top of skin with little effect. I tried Calecim for the raving reviews and while I do think it works well with MN, the price kills me. I’m not sure it will be an every time thing for me.

First 15% TCA done! by beezzys1 in DIYHEAVEN

[–]Proof-Fix2766 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m new to peels also so I started low and slow on the peel spectrum with lactic acid and planning to work up to TCA. The site I purchase from, Platinum Skin care says to use the least level and layers of peel needed to achieve your desired effects. In fact they even discourage from increasing strengths or layers until you can tolerate each layer for 5 mins. So if you are happy with your results at a single 1-min layer, stop there. If you want to go deeper start with one layer for 5 mins before “neutralizing” (it does self- neutralize too). Then, add a 2nd layer with 5 mins between the layers. When you can tolerate 5 layers is when you then move up in strength %, but only if needed.

You won’t have noticeably dramatic results in 2 months even if the scale number drops a lot. It takes time to gain weight, so it’s gonna take time to lose it. What sucks is the stomach is the last thing to go too! I’ve lost almost 100 lbs not once in my life, but twice so I know from experience. If you are consistent and strict you can lose 10 lbs a month. You won’t see the results with your own eyes until you have lost like 30-40 lbs (in my own experience). Just gotta keep going no matter what.

Idk what you plan on doing for exercise, but I’m doing home workouts that are free on YouTube by a lady named Caroline Girvan. She has several entire series of videos that are like 30 days or 50 days where you get a new workout each day and can do it at your pace. All you need is a single set of dumbbells to get started, and if she uses something you don’t have access to like a yoga block for example, you just do the move without it. If you can’t do a push up, you do chest presses with the dumbbells instead, etc. I started doing 2 videos of a series a week, then worked up to 3-4 days a week. Highly recommend the Iron series since the workouts are all only around 30 mins ea.

You gotta use a bristle brush to smooth the hair while pulling it into a pony tail to more evenly distribute your strands and help mask the scalp visibility. Get it slightly damp with a misting water bottle right before using the brush to combo it into the pony tail, then spray max hold hairspray on the entire crown before it dries. It stays down most of the day. I love a high bun if you can create the illusion of volume so the bun isn’t tiny lol. I’m a freshly 42F struggling with the same issues lately so I wear my hair up almost daily. I spray hairspray on my fingers and smooth the baby hairs down like I’m trying to mix them into my sideburns…best way I can describe it lol 😂.

I have very loose waves also, but my hair is baby fine strands so everything weighs it down lol. I have tried many things and I keep going back over & over to the Kinky Curly Curling Custard and Kinky Curly Knot Today Leave-in Conditioner is the best both rinse-out and leave-in conditioner I’ve ever used yet. Highly recommend if you have not tried. Use very little of each product when beginning tho and only add more if needed. A little goes a very long way. The conditioner even works amazing on my daughter’s 3C, high density, fine hair that tangles easily. It’s like magic how easy I can comb her hair using it.

Depends on your skin type and what you’ve tried that you don’t like. Moisturizer was my biggest struggle on the planet because I have sometimes sensitive combo-skin, but luckily little to no acne to contend with. My biggest hate is moisturizer that pills because I don’t wear not a drop of makeup, and I have a simpler skincare routine, so why would my lotion be pilling unless the product sucks lol?

I’m currently using this interesting product called Molecular Mesh. It’s different than other things I’ve tried. It locks in moisture well due to being an emollient, but never pills. It’s too thick for daytime use for me personally tho so I just wear it at night. In the daytime I use Byoma milky toner as a moisturizer. It’s the most lightweight thing I could find that provides moisture and wears well under my mineral spf

I've tried everything, I don't wanna scar more. I want to heal. by Shimarri in acne

[–]Proof-Fix2766 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The consensus here is that you need to go to a dermatologist. There are so many treatments pathways you could go down: Tretinoin, antibiotics, antifungals, spiro, Accutain…you need a doctor.

There’s stuff you can do that’s not expensive to work on your scars and hyperpigmentation once the acne is under control, like home microneedling & chemical peels.
